Very good motel style hotel for a great price. everything is very clean, cleaner than a Marriott I’d say. Everything is still pretty traditional, like the Booking cannot be done online, there is no keycards, just a key. But everything works, the heat actually works too well, the throttle knob doesn’t work, so we had to open the door to air out. Not a big issue since it’s very cold outside at night. Our neighbor simply turned on the AC to counter the heat. Overall, very safe area, very clean, very convenient to get to Grand Canyon. Would definitely stay again.

The reviews don't lie! A 15 minute drive to the South Rim and the best value available. The room was very clean and comfortable. The front desk manager was extremely knowledgeable, hospitable and funny! We really enjoyed talking with her and listening to her advice and experience living and working in the area for decades. Skip the cookie-cutter, expensive chain alternatives and stay here!

Retro. Very cool. Spotless. Manager Debbie couldn’t have been nicer & extremely helpful. Wonderful personality, funny, happy, when we checked in late and when we checked out. ||Made us very comfortable. She advised us on navigating the Grand Canyon and gave us very helpful tips that we hadn’t read anywhere. ||We are so happy we stayed there instead of the chain hotels. Snowed the night before and hotels were sold out. So we had an experience we didn’t expect! We were worried that the room would stay cold after seeing the electric thin thin modern radiator on the wall but just as she said in a short time the room would be perfectly warm and it was!||Had a nice tv/cable, charging station on nightstand, coffee, refrigerator was double the size of the little ones in other hotels. Bathroom was spotless, toiletries and makeup wipes were nice, good quality - kept makeup off the white towels! Great lamps all around. ||If we go back we will definitely stay there instead of a chain hotel.

I felt like I was at home at this hotel. The owner is a really nice person. The room is exactly what they say. It has all the amenities. The bed is comfortable it’s not worn out it’s awesome nice and soft. The showers are hot everything was clean. Trust me you will enjoy it. Had a great price.

Rooms sit back from road so no noise. The manager was very nice and had our reservation slip ready. The room was disappointing. There was leftover food on the floor and smelled musty. There definitely have been no renovations since the 70’s as the bathtub is brown and stained from years of use, the strainer/hair catcher wasn’t attached.|There were other rooms listed for cheaper online at the time we were there but we decided to stay with a small business.

We were looking for a last minute place to crash and couldn't find a single hotel within 70 miles on the booking app. While driving through town we saw a vacancy sign and decided to go for it. I'm usually pretty skeptical of small lodges/motels like this but we were very pleasantly surprised. The room was spotless, the pillows were comfortable and the bed was decent. The woman who checked us in was very friendly and gave us tips for the best sunrise. I would stay here again.

This place is simple, straightforward, clean, and comfortable. If you’re looking for a fancy experience this isn’t it. But if you’re looking for a clean and comfortable place to rest your head after a long day of hiking, this is the only place I would recommend. The staff are so sweet and accommodating (they gave us utensils when we realized we didn’t have any!) and answered all of our questions.

It’s local, and has way more of a personal touch than anywhere else I’ve stayed. I would 100% recommend this over any of those super expensive hotels that are nearby.

The lodge is also so close the Grand Canyon! It makes it easy to go to the canyon multiple times a day.

I loved it and would stay here again.

It was such a pleasure staying here. At first, I was only planning on stopping by the Grand Canyon for a day as I travelled west. Once I saw the views, I knew I needed to stay a couple days. I started calling around asking for prices and all were very high. I then found 7 mile Lodge. Reasonably priced, clean and comfortable. Also very close to the Canyon entrance (4 minutes to the south gate).

Additionally, if you want the scoop on pretty much everything relating to the Grand Canyon. These people can fill you in. They speak from experience and provided valuable information on where to hike, when and what gear I would want to bring.

Overall, I was very happy with my stay and will book a room again when I come back.
