I’ve been renting from A&L Property Mgmt for two years now. Let me start by saying they came to the rescue when we needed a place! They found one for us here in El Dorado County that fit all of our needs! It was nothing short of a miracle! Fast forward to now, we’ve only had a couple small issues with the house (normal wear) that needed attention and it just took one phone call. Coming from a busy mom, this is greatly appreciated!! I don’t have any time to spare for nonsense. This is why I took the time to write this review. They have saved me from so many headaches! I also love the app they use to eliminate any fuss when it comes to paying rent. Easy-peasy, done deal!

They responded to maintenance in a timely manner, including follow up on all work orders. In the first few weeks of taking over the property i lived at they had teams out there trimming back trees that were very overgrown and cleaned it all up very nicely.

DON'T THROW AWAY YOUR MONEY SUBMITTING AN APPLICATION WITH THIS TERRIBLE COMPANY! This has been the worst experience I have ever had with a property management company.

We are selling our house and we are currently at the end of the escrow process. We need to be out of our house within a week and now because of A&L Property management we do not have a rental lined up. I spoke with Pat on the phone and she was very eager to show us a rental. She was even more eager to get us to submit an application which cost $60.00.

My husband and I have very good credit, references, etc. However, we have heard excuse after excuse when they are asked whether or not we can rent this property-they are not giving us an answer and are simply wasting our time. Meanwhile they have been posting the same houses every day on Craigslist. THIS IS A SCAM! THEY ARE POSTING NICE AND VERY AFFORDABLE RENTALS OVER AND OVER AGAIN ONLINE IN ORDER TO COLLECT AS MANY APPLICATIONS (remember they charged us $60 for an application) AS THEY CAN.

So now, after waiting and waiting and hearing excuse after excuse about the delay we have nowhere to go once our escrow is finalized. They have NOT even run or credit yet (I now this because I have up to date credit monitoring that alerts me every time I have a credit inquiry)!

This is an absolute scam! I'm going to file a complaint with the BBB and anywhere else that I can.

Steve at A & L property management is nothing short of a slumlord. He lies, he cheats, falsifies documents, steals deposits from Tennant's and never fixes anything! Any issue I ever had in the rental I had to fix myself. When it came time to give him my notice he cussed at me and was so utterly disrespectful that I considered taking him to small claims over the $700 dispute of getting my deposit back, but seriously who has the time for that? Chalk it up to life experience and tell everyone who might consider renting from A & L, Just don't. It's not worth it. Steve and his office staff are corrupt, dishonest, scumbags.

Rarely ever answers the phone and won't let you know if you got the place or not. Basically takes your application fee and then you never hear from them again. I found out we didn't get the property because all the posts were taken down online even though I called several times. I got one answer and said we would know in less than a week. Never heard back. Won't be doing business with them again.

Application went through quickly and we were in a house fast. Response is fairly quick if you need something repaired. They took care of us.
