I was the realtor for a couple who accepted a contract contingent on the sale of the buyer’s property. The realtors in that deal set a closing date of 10/18. At the time this was approximately 3 weeks from the accepted offer. Jeff, the mortgage broker, told the buyer’s agent of my client’s property that he couldn’t pull it off. So we set a date of 10/25. The agent couldn’t get ahold of Jeff, despite calling, texting and emailing. Turns out he was out of the country and didn’t pass our file to anyone to take care of things. We were then told he’d get it closed by 11/8. He asked for paperwork that had already been sent, then required another 11th hour appraisal because of “a paperwork snafu.” Didn’t get this closed until 11/13. Oh wait, the loan didn’t fund on the closing date—we had to wait yet another day for the loan to get funded. It was disappointing and frustrating for my clients and the clients who bought their home. I would never recommend this company. It was unprofessional and disorganized.
