I moved to Indiana from Texas in February of 2019. I had no familiarity or experience in the area, so I didn’t know where or what I was moving to. I found clover investments online before moving and contacted one of the staff members to tell them my situation. My credit was less than mediocre at the time, so I had trouble finding places, but they worked with me from day 1. They provided me with great service, giving me details on each house I looked at, as well as the area where it was located.
While living there, the response time to issues I had at the property were always very quick and my neighbors were great too. They also enjoyed renting from them, because I’d ask out of curiosity.
I moved out exactly 1 year later to move back home, because I accepted a job offering. I broke my lease with still a year left on the contract. The staff was very understanding and I paid what the contract stated I had to in order to move out. I didn’t have much time to clean, because it was kinda sudden, so I didn’t clean it as well as I could have. The staff told me that if I ever needed to rent again, that they would give me a good referral, which I appreciated, since I had just broke my lease.
Once I returned home, I received a check from clover investments. It was my deposit. I received about 80% of it back, even though they had to clean. The 20% was just for minor damage or cleaning that was there or that I couldn’t do.
This company along with there management staff is very honest and professional. I always enjoyed working with them while I lived in Indiana and would strongly suggest them to anyone looking to rent property in the Fort Wayne area. They even mailed me my mail that would still come to that address if I needed it or if it was important. They would notify me before hand to let me know too. Great company, and was always a great landlord.

We were promised a lot of repairs before moving in and maintenance never happened in the year and a half we lived there. The house was literally falling apart. The rent is crazy high for what you get and the utilities are ridiculous because the house was never renovated. We also experienced no hot water for 2 weeks, and I had to call them daily to get it repaired because they literally wouldn’t do anything. When we moved out, the landlord was giving us threats and calling us names not even a sailor would enjoy. This is a one party state for recording, so luckily I had all that recorded. Breaking the lease is pricy so have a pretty penny just in case you need to get out.

Jennifer, the property manager, was the only person that was reasonable, but she wouldn’t answer any calls. If you want a place that actually takes care of their properties, don’t go with them. If you have to go with them, record everything!

The worst company to rent from. The lease is a book you'll never understand and be prepared to go without heat or air at points. Rob the office manager was cool and very understanding as was Jennifer the owners daughter. But Jim sucks and if your a single female be prepared to be harassed. I lived here six years and covid happened and if ya get behind you get put out no matter how much you try or pay to stay when you have no where to go but he don't care so just beware.

If you’re a single mother, please don’t move into any of these properties. I have multiple text messages from girlfriend stating that Jim likes to sit in his white van in the alley and street and watch. Trust me, I’ve sat back at the end of the alley and watched him watch her. Very weird, coming from a former investigate police officer. Also, there are multiple codes violations; which have been recorded, photographed and timestamped. The majority include electrocution hazards. Good luck if you decide to move in.

I have had fair dealing with Owner and staff.
I rented an upstairs apartment near downtown Fort Wayne.
Grounds are kept clean. Lawn is trimmed as needed.
**When the kitchen range needed repaired, I called the office to report the problems. To our surprise, we soon received a new gas range!
