If you hold any value over your safety and health, please for the love of God do not rent from this IDIOT. Second night moving into my rental, the living room floor caved in underneath of me and I was stuck hanging halfway into the crawl space. I could hardly walk for 2-3 weeks and had to go to the emergency room the next day. This moron knew the floor was damaged and continued to rent the unit regardless. When I called the next morning to tell him what had happened, he came over to the house with no warning and sat me down on my front porch for 25 minutes and told me how I was being “completely unreasonable” for complaining about falling through his floor and the gaping hole into the crawl space from our living room. Wouldn’t let me utter a word and told me I was the worst tenant he’s ever had and to never speak to him again (a paying tenant on the lease).

Besides this, there was not one appliance in that house that worked and was not broken. He would constantly come to our house with no forewarning whatsoever. HE LET HIMSELF INTO OUR HOUSE WITHOUT KNOCKING AND NO WARNING TWICE WHILE WE WERE HOME. And I witnessed him do the same to our neighbors across the street who’s house he also owns.

I absolutely implore you to never rent from him. It is not worth your safety and well being.

NEVER rent from this slum Lord. He will use his stupidity to try and argue with everything you do. He broke into our house and threw our stuff outside 3 months before the lease expired. He knew the basement of the house floods where people stayed and yet he would just push it off and not spend money to fix it. He would often just show up randomly and welcome himself in. He will tell you that you didn't pay rent even when you have receipts of it. The house should be destroyed by the city. One 1 working outlet in basement, Flooding, weeks without working AC and Heat Water line breaking from improper repair. He will tell the new renters that he will repaint the house for them yet charge the old renters the cost to do so. you will get your house in terrible shape for him to say nothing is wrong.
He will fight you over every penny. If you have any disability he wont listen to HUD rules until you take him to court. He will threaten you with not fixing stuff or lawsuits if you ask him to do anything.
Had to get the city inspector and housing authority involved several times just for him to say his health is bad and that he will get to it.
DO NOT EVEN LET THIS MAN TELL YOU ABOUT HIS HOUSES. RUNNN!!!!!!!

My IU student rented a house from Sharma in Bloomington over the last 2 years. He never fixed anything or if he did it was done in the cheapest way possible. Upon departing from the house, it was left in the same rundown way it was presented, but he withheld the security deposit... instead trying to get the students to paint & fix up the unit on their own to "earn" back the security deposit. He is in the truest sense of the word a slumlord. Please look elsewhere to rent in Bloomington, Indiana.

There’s so many bad things I can say about how horrible of a person Sharma is and how terrible his properties are. I just pray someone sees this review and decides to not lose there money to a scummy penny pinching RAT
