I was a tenant for GT properties for a bout a year or so. I followed their rules, barely hung things up and always kept the place clean. Even while, the place needed a lot of maintenance. When I left the place just as i got it, clean. I even took a video. I had heard things about them not returning the deposit but it wasn’t until I got the receipt that I realized they will try anything to keep it. They charged a general cleaning more than the carpet and kept about half of my deposit. Throughout my residence, I tried working with them when things needed to be updated (appliances are very outdated) or not working properly but I was always disregarded and wasn’t made of importance. I am extremely disappointed to know that being a good tenant and taking care their property leads for them to take advantage of me and more people out there.

I feel as though they need to take away the upstairs apartments. Seems that the term upstairs neighbor means let's be disrespectful to our downstairs neighbors. Even while they try to sleep.

Moved. If you value your sanity, you can find a better place to rent. Where maintenance doesn't say "uh yeah, we will get to you next week" when your ac has been out for a month with a baby in the house during the middle of summer. Or where you are having things that don't work in your apartment and you are told to fix it yourself, or yeah, we will get to you next week while I see maintenance hanging out in there vehicles on there phones basically doing nothing. It was the worst experience I've ever had. I could go on and on. This was worse than childbirth.

This agency has gone really downhill. I am not sure if ownership has switched. But it has gone pretty bad. My in-laws live in the Woodhaven complex. At the beginning when they first moved in they were clean. They always had maintenance people cleaning and maintaining the area. But now it seems like they don't care or they do not have the Personnel to take care of the area. My in-laws have complained about tenants that own pets. They do not pick up after their animals. They leave feces around tenants grass area that is disgusting. They also want to raise the tenant's rent. But if you want something repaired or complain about something. Either they ignore you or don't want to do anything about it. If they do something, they take forever to get there ( I mean days or weeks) to have it repaired.
I don't know why GT properties are like this with their tenants. I am not sure about the tenants that don't pay their rent on time. But for the ones that do pay on time. They shouldn't be ignored. They have the right to complain or ask for stuff if they need it. My in-laws are two disabled people. When they ask for something. It should get dealt with as soon as you can.

Apart from giving us a place to stay we are thankful. But the fact that their is upstairs neighbors is quiet annoying. You can hear mostly everything from babies crying, people screaming etc. We reported but the issue wasn't ever solved. Office ladies can be disrespectful & rude. Upon move out we were charged excessively for minor little things. No point in even trying to get your deposit back. Apartment style is really old as well and too small for a 2 bedroom.

Apartments are very nice and nice mannered neighbors. Although the maintenance here is horrible and unbelievable! We have called for months about getting the smallest thing done on our apartment & they always say “next week”, it’s ridiculous.

Rented from GT properties for just over 2 and a half years. They kept the process easy. Office staff can be off-putting and rude at times. Fair rent expectations. We had neighbors that had roaches in their apartment upon move out that migrated into our apartment as well. We moved out shortly after this issue and was charged 2 extermination fees upon move out although we were given notice that the roach infestation was caused by our neighbors. Minor issues were solved relatively quickly.

We have rented from many different landlords over the years, and I have to say that GT Properties really stands out. They were always timely in sending their maintenance guy, never disrespectful (like home inspections, etc.), and were honest and timely about returning our security deposit. I would definitely rent from them again if we ever move back to Goshen.

Rents too high for the quality of the apartments. Maintenance takes way too long to respond to any incidents. Office does nothing about issues on their property. It took them almost a week in July for them to fix my ac unit while my girlfriend was pregnant. I recommend finding somewhere else to live very strongly.
