We went to the Columbus, Indiana office for our closing. The office itself was very nice, clean, met all the needs of a good building, but the staff was excellent! They created a very welcoming environment, which takes some of the pressure and nerves off of closing, and in turn allows your brain to be able to think of the extra questions you might have. Very laid back but professional at the same time. My husband and I actually had a blast closing, because we got to relax and have a little time without the kiddos 😊

On the business end, everything went as perfectly as possible I think!

As a Realtor servicing the local market, I always use First American Title Insurance Company when I pick the title company for closing. From Missy to Lisa, Jeff to Shawna...the entire staff is courteous, professional, and just flat out enjoyable to work with. They make the closing process easy and understandable to my clients, and answer questions rapidly and accurately. Keep up the amazing work, Greenfield office!

Wouldn’t recommend First American Title Company in Greenfield simply because they seem to be very careless with their client’s information.

Prior to closing, we received emails to register an account with them online to sign documents and view the status on transactions. It would be a great tool to use... if they correctly entered in information so their clients could create an online account. I reached out to have the information corrected so we could access our account online, but it was never fixed.

After closing, we received the property deed in the mail... for someone else’s home located in a completely different city. I had to call to have the correct deed mailed to me and an envelope so I could send their other client’s deed back to them.

We had last minute changes because of our mortgage company and I was sure it would delay closing. Nonetheless, First American worked closely with the lender and adapted quickly to make sure we closed on time.

Not good at math or details. Called me while I was on the way to closing to tell me I needed to wire another $1500. Panic ensued. I was leaving town the next day. Ruined my closing experience. Never did reimburse me for the additional $25 to wire that second amount. Guess they thought I was joking. We closed with you 5/2/19. Check that record.

The closer Kelly Covington made a $2300 mistake in my commission. When I tried to ask what happens know she get a attitude and I got upset and hung up the phone (I’m a pastor for 45 years) I don’t not get up set but this lady has no skill with dealing with people! I’m sorry I hung up but this company needs to send it people back to school. I will never use them again.
