My son and I had appointments with Dr. Mackayla Wolfe. She was patient as it was his first time and so very kind. She took the time to explain things and made my aging eyes seem very normal. She explained all the options and never pushed. Dr. Wolfe is a gentle soul and I'd love to see her continue working at that location.

We went about a year ago and they are amazing! I don't think I will ever go anywhere else. Dr. Gring was very knowledgeable and very informative! I thought my son used to exagerate on what he couldn't see and always ended up looking over his glasses even with brand new ones from other places. I told her my concerns and also explained that he has Autism and she would need to go slower for him when changing the lenses as most eye doctors tend to flip them pretty quickly. She was more than happy to take the extra time if needed. She told him that some options are supposed to look really blurry and some are meant to look really clear and some in between and he just had to tell her how blurry or clear it looks. She did the exam in a way that we were able to get a correct prescription for my son. His prescription was a little surprising to me and not what I expected. However, he has been seeing so much better than ever before, and no more looking over his glasses! I can't thank her enough! We are definitely going back!

The doctors at the LaPorte location are great, the billing lady on the other hand, insists that every patient MUST have retinal imaging because it's "doctor's preference" even though that is NOT what it says on your website. The lack of transparency continued as she did not even submit to my insurance because "it's not covered". I see they are doing this regularly based on the reviews I've read below. She is unpleasant to customers and seems to rule the roost over there. I will not be going back, because no matter how great the eye docs are, a bad staff, lack of transparency in billing, and surprise extra charges kill the customer experience.

All the staff was very kind and patient with questions and very thorough and explained easily even a child could understand, the DR was made you feel welcome and relaxed and understood
