My mother and I moved here back in the late 80's, while i was attending Logan. There must've been about 10-12 kids living there attending Logan. Met my future wife when her family moved in. We enjoyed our apartment and the swimming pool. Right next to the grocery stores and the shopping Plazas, with multiple places to eat at. 2 minute walk to the Bart Station and right across from the park. So many memories here, we were called the Parkside Boys. I'm glad the name is still the same.

I came to see one of their studios but none of them were available. Instead, they showed me their one bedroom unit and unfortunately I didn’t like it much. Also, water, sewage and garbage are not covered so you have to pay for those on your own.
Most apartment rentals out there do include these types of utilities.

So far so good. Three days in with no problems. Genenesis in the front office has been very helpful throughout our process of moving in. It took almost two months for us to get in here and she never stopped being helpful. Very nice personality. I watched her handle seven family’s while we was in the office but never stopped helping us. She made moving in comfortable. Glad we chose Parkside☺️

Moved recently here. Community is clean and quiet and well maintained. Anna at the leasing Office was super helpful. She answered all our questions in detail and helped us choosing the right apartment and guided us throughout the whole procedure. Highly recommended to get in touch with her if you looking to rent or just touring

For how expensive it is you'd expected quality. Instead during my time here I had constant roaches which took 2 years before they finally addressed it. Which did make a dent sure but the roaches were never fully eliminated. Take a walk outside around 1am and you'll see cockroaches walking all around outside. Pedestrian gates were never secured so anyone can and will walk in. Unhoused individuals have entered and slept in laundry rooms. As well as peeing in the laundry room. Non tenants throw trash away all the time, and trash overflows frequently. The solution was to reduce the number of total trash bins. At minimum there's 3 less trash bins and 3 less recycle bins on the side I lived on. Being replaced with one bigger bin that is definitely smaller than having those 3 bins instead. It's a non smoking apartment but no actually effort is put to stop people from smoking, tenants regularly smoke on property and it has gotten to the point people smoke in their apartments and it enters your unit. I complained and the office literally sent me a letter saying we violated out lease by smoking. One,I don't smoke, two I was the one that filed a complaint which they had documented when that was brought up they realized their mistake. What's worse one of the maintenance workers already said it couldn't be my unit because when he was doing work in the unit there wasn't any of the signs you'd find if we'd been smoking in the unit. There was a long period with no mangers and when there is a manager they changed frequently. Also apparently this complex has security I think in the 2 and half years I was here I saw them twice. People's cars have been broken into despite the fact this is a gated community. The list goes on and on. I emailed, sent in requests regarding the smoking and nothing was done. It's still an issue. But at least now that I'm leaving it's someone else's problem. My advice if you have to move here frequently check the equity app. You'll see all the other issues that everyone else has with Parkside Apartment that the complex is just not resolving.

Really wish Google would allow zero stars this place currently doesn't even deserve one.

Vanessa is such an amazing manager. Ever since she took over the position she did a fantastic job by making sure Parkside is safe and clean. When it comes to helping out the community she’s always there and treated everybody with respect . I want to acknowledge her team Genesis and Ana for always showing kindness and being professionalism at all time towards my family. I cant forget about the two maintenance guys who is always on the call to fix whatever stuff that needed to be fix in my apartments. It’s going on 5 years since I live here at Parkside. These are the best team in my experience living here. I would give them a raise if I was in control of that. Thank you guys for all that you do for my family and the Parkside community.

Tried to take a tour of this place. Got an email confirmation and everything; The day of I got calls of other apartments within the parent company confirming my appointment with them. Weird. Anyways, the day we arrived nobody was there. Just a note on the door. Glad to have not moved there, seems like an auto-mated site with no real management presence.

I completed a 1 year lease at Parkside Apartments and was appalled by the inept management and ongoing cockroach infestation.

When I moved into the unit, the cleaning and repairs that were promised to be done prior to my move in had not been completed. The maintenance department was responsive to the required repairs and seemed to be doing what they could, but the general cleaning should have been done prior to my move in.

The leasing office and management were unreachable when an error in their receiving account blocked my scheduled rent payment. After three weeks of ignoring emails I had sent requesting help with getting my rent payment processed, I finally received a call from the leasing office to inform me I was in pre-evictions and would have to pay hundreds of dollars in late and legal fees in addition to my owed rent, all via money order. No mailed or posted notice was provided to me as required by state law, but I was told the situation would only get worse and more expensive if I didn’t pay the fees immediately. The management representative then lied and said she would try to get the fees returned to me but never responded to any of my further inquiries.

While living at Parkside you can expect to hear the crunch of cockroaches roaming the path beneath your feet anytime you venture from your apartment after sunset. If you’re one of the lucky ones, you will only rarely see them joining you inside.

Finally, as a parting gift, the Parkside leasing office charged me over 250 dollars in moving and repainting fees despite the fact I left the unit in significantly better condition than I inherited it. I never hung a single thing on the walls and vacuumed and wiped down the whole place before I left.

I’ve rented several other apartments and can easily say Parkside and its criminally incompetent management team are peerless in the terrible tenant experience they provide. Even doing nothing aside from accepting my rent proved to be too tall an order.

I would recommend prospective tenants give thorough consideration to other options, especially ones not owned by Equity Residential.

The location is convenient but is not close to worth everything that comes with it.
