Worst OBGYN EVER. I thought going with midwives was the way to go. At the hospital during my delivery, my doula and I told the midwife Natalie not to pull my placenta out. She said “you can’t stop me from doing my job” and after she did that, I continued to lose blood. The nurses at the hospital told me I lost 50% of my blood. I couldn’t enjoy skin to skin with my baby. Two days later, my body was giving up. I couldn’t feel anything and I couldn’t walk. They never followed up with me once. My dad had to call asking for an appointment for labs since I was losing so much blood. It was an emergency and they complained and yelled at him on the phone saying it was a violation asking for that. So we had to go somewhere else. I almost died and they could care less.
Then the time I had the flu while 37 weeks pregnant, they said to call them if anything was concerning so I did. They just said “well go to the hospital”
On top of that, they are so disorganized with billing. Each time they ask again for my insurance card and then send me bills that never went through insurance and I’ve called several times. The front desk ladies are miserable and so is the staff. Nobody there enjoys what they do let alone care for your body. DO NOT GO HERE.

Talking to Dr. Forberg felt like talking to a good friend. She made me feel so comfortable and at ease, addressed my concerns thoroughly and answered all my questions. When my elderly mother who has dementia and physical disabilities was sick, Dr. Forberg was able to get her in quickly, was incredibly patient with her, and took fantastic care of her. I appreciate her so much for the great care she has given us both.
I’ve also gone to NPs at North Country for obgyn care for years and always had great experiences. I just started seeing Dr. Panasiuk for HRT because I have been struggling with a ton of symptoms for months. What a game changer! He took so much time to explain tons of options for me, and everything to expect going forward. I had a full page of questions ready but by the time he was done discussing with me he had answered all of them and more. I know so many women who have felt dismissed by their doctors for similar symptoms, and it was such a huge relief to be taken so seriously by someone who is up to date on the latest information and research.

I scheduled an appointment for 10am about a month ago. I showed up at 9:55. They told me they just updated their system and now all check in times are 15 minutes early AND their new late policy is 7 minutes instead of 10. So somehow instead of being 5 minutes early I’m 10 minutes late and they can’t see me for this appointment I’ve been waiting a month for. Doesn’t even matter that I got an email two days ago saying your appointment is at 10am. This feels incredibly unfair and must just be a way for them to weed out patients. Way to show people you really don’t care about them, North Country!

I'm SMI on a lot of meds for my depression and anxiety. Some times I can't leave the house much less drive. They say I missed four appointments and that is probably true. I asked for an accommodation of letting me do telehealth and was refused even though it says on the phone the whole time I'm on hold waiting to speak with someone to answer at the Show Low office. My punishment was not being allowed to see my primary doctor. The officer manager Debbie is very rude and condescending and stated I could see one of the other nurse practitioners. I have seen the other providers and didn't feel they were competent with my health problems especially dealing with scleroderma. They are aware of the mental health medicine I take that are prescribed from Changepoint . I asked for an accommodation which was refused and understanding that sometimes I miss appointments due to anxiety and depression and I asked for a telemed appoint and was refused. I have been going there for many years with no problems until now. I guess North Country healthcare doesn't care about people like me who have to deal with mental illness everyday.

It takes them between 1 to several months to see a doctor after making an appointment. Truly the epitome of how pathetic the American healthcare system is. When your months long wait finally arrives; you have to check in with receptionists a whole cubicle filled with people who hate their jobs and just leave you waiting standing in line. Then the student doctor who receives you is only interested in getting you out of the door as soon as possible. They care nothing about the health of patients. Just an institution to harvest insurance money.

When you can see a doctor, this place does a fine job but it is near impossible to see a Doctor. I have been a patient here for a handful of years because this is the only provider in town that my insurance covers, which is another issue separate of this place, but also a factor towards the 1 star. I have never been able to get an appointment in under a month from calling or going online. Even with outrageous wait times, they cannot be inconvenienced with making a waitlist to call people for earlier appointments when other appointments are canceled. When I first started coming here the people at the front desk making appointments did not understand that I wanted to see any doctor and not wait multiple months for the Dr I had seen 1 time previously to get back from leave. It was as if every receptionist has not worked in the field or that office before. I have not had an issue getting my medicine, test, and the Drs and phlebotomist are professional and welcoming. I think everyone paying for healthcare or a bill from a healthcare provider wants to know why we spend so much money for understaffed and overpriced medical care and medical providers in general act like they have a gag order to not acknowledge it when it is brought up in an appointment. Dr K acted appalled that I had to wait 6 weeks to get an appointment with her and said that it was unacceptable and then kept it moving when I told her that that is the normal practice here and that I had to wait longer previously to see her. That kind of response feels hollow and not sincere.

Horrible clinic with dishonest doctors! During my wife’s visit she declined any labs, but they sent them anyways and we received a bill for lab results for $900 and now we’re stuck paying because nobody at North Country will admit to there negligence or mistake. Find another clinic!

Extremely unorganized. Not only did they claim not to receive the referral and medical records from my previous provider, which caused my procedures to be pushed out further, but they were supposed to call in a prescription for a pain medication to help with a procedure I was going to have done to check for cancer and they never called it in. Further prolonging the procedure and leaving me feeling scared and worried even longer. They only call when I'm at work and when I call back I can almost never get through. When I do get through after over an hour on hold no one can tell me why the office called me. Getting an appointment is ridiculous. I called for an appointment to be set up as a new patient in June and they couldnt get me in until October. Save your life and go to Phoenix.
