Many of us are anxious when it comes to someone looking over your finances and or when they give advice , but he is the most upfront and honest person you can ever meet in this business, his attention to detail is impeccable, my husband and I sold and purchased and the transition was smooth. There was a hiccup with our purchase because of.an issue with a solar contract but it did NOT phase him, he explained the concern and laid out the options on how to proceed, and now as of 2/1 we are in our new home , thank you Randy for all that you did!

I am deeply frustrated and disappointed with Planet Home Lending due to a series of ongoing, unresolved issues that have persisted since we assumed our mortgage on July 19, 2024. These are not isolated incidents but a pattern of consistent errors and poor communication that have negatively impacted our financial and personal well-being.
The problems began immediately after closing when we received no guidance about our first mortgage payment. When I reached out to customer service, I was told they could not speak to me because the loan was still listed under the previous owner’s information. This was completely unacceptable—by our closing date, all records should have been fully transferred into my husband’s name.
It took nearly a month before we were told the information had been updated. However, that proved untrue. In October, we discovered we were not receiving our monthly mortgage statements. Upon inquiry, we learned our statements were being mailed to an address in Los Angeles, CA—where we do not live, nor do we have any connection. The representative claimed someone had called in to change our address, yet failed to verify the caller’s identity. This breach of security is alarming. We added extra verification measures, thinking the issue was resolved.
Then, in January, we did not receive our tax documents. I checked our online account and saw the same incorrect Los Angeles address still listed. Despite prior assurances, our sensitive financial documents were again sent to strangers. Another call, another round of promises that it had been fixed.
In March, our mortgage unexpectedly increased by $69. When I called, I was told that a home insurance payment of $1,357.13 had been made from our escrow on February 19. However, we had already paid our first year of insurance upfront when we closed, and our policy is with Farmers Insurance—not Zurich American, the company that received the payment.
After being passed between departments and dealing with conflicting explanations, I was eventually told that the mistake occurred because Planet Home Lending had not updated the loan to reflect our assumption. Despite being told the funds would be recovered in 7–10 business days, we are now over two months into this ordeal. I’ve had to pay the additional $69 in both April and May just to keep our account in good standing.
Most concerning is that I recently learned the refund from Zurich American was sent to the original loan holders—individuals we do not know and have no way to contact. Planet Home Lending failed to inform us of this development and has provided more promises to recover the money or correct their mistake. I continue to be told to “wait 10 business days,” by one rep and “wait 48-72 hours” from another over and over again, with no resolution in sight.
We are now paying extra out-of-pocket every month due to an error that was entirely the fault of Planet Home Lending. No one is taking accountability. I’ve spent countless hours on the phone trying to resolve these issues, only to hit a wall every time.
At this point, I am requesting immediate escalation of this issue to someone in a leadership position who can actually address and resolve these problems. The level of service we have received is unacceptable, and we deserve accountability and action—not delays and excuses.
