I did not know banking could be this bad. Customer service is horrible that it may as well be nonexistent. I have excellent credit and just got approved for a mortgage with another bank, and I was only applying for a checking account with them. I have never been denied a bank account in my life, yet somehow they denied me. I applied online and the person I was communicating with through their messaging portal asked me for additional information, which I provided. Then I heard nothing from them for about 9 days, so I logged back into the portal where I was communicating with the person (no name ever provided) and saw that I was denied. I was denied without any further communication. I sent another message in the portal inquiring about my application. They did not respond. I then reached out to customer service. They stated that they could not assist in the matter. They called another department and could not get a hold of anyone. They then offered to transfer me so I could leave a message. She stated Susan Long was the Relationship Manager. I I left a message and never heard from anyone. A week or more later, I got a letter in the mail. I was denied do to "unable to verify residence", though I provided my lease. I was also denied for "unable to verify identity" even though I provided my ID, social, date of birth. I was also denied for "Other, specify: required funds to open account not received." When exactly was I supposed to pay this? Usually you have to be approved for a bank account first then provide the $10 bucks or so to establish your account. The final reason was based on information obtained from a consumer credit agency. I know my credit is excellent so I have no idea what they are talking about. About four months ago before all of this, I was in contact with a Delivery Service Representative because I had inquired about an account. I decided to reach out to him. On 9/27 he said he escalated it to the lady who handled my application. 10/3 I emailed him again letting him know that no one reached out to me, and I requested a supervisor or anyone else that could help. I have not heard anything back yet and don't suspect I will. I am completely baffled.

I love the values this bank holds, but their customer service could use some work. Whenever I message them (a little more often as a new member ensuring everything is set up correctly) they don't fully answer my question or completely ignore a part of it. The follow up and attention to detail could be a little better.

I have no idea what to do. My card was attached as an automatic payment and was used with no funds. I had 8 overdraft fees assessed to my account and they haven't been willing to help reverse some of the charges despite me willing to fund my account to cover the charges that came out. So disappointed and have no idea how I'm supposed to recover.

Terrific credit union! I originally signed up in October through a promotion to receive $400, if I had 2 direct deposits or more of $500 each within 90 days, I had some troubles getting my debit card originally but on the 3rd try it was overnighted.
Even though I was 4 days past the 90 day window they still gave me the $400 bonus.

Found ACCU from public square.. setup a checking, savings, OD line of credit, 20k visa signature, refinanced my Subaru w/ a very good rate there, all with one credit pull! Saved some $ and it's super easy to make principle only payments on the app which is a huge bonus. The customer service has been wonderful, very quick to respond, communication/updates and the process has been seamless. Much better than I have experienced at the big banks and even other CU's. Will definitely recommend them to others in need of financial services. I was previously a regional manager for yrs w/ Chase Bank, so am very familiar with the industry. Thanks ACCU! ๐Ÿ™‚

When I contacted ACCU, Andrew DeBerry referred me to Robert Raab, & referenced Robert as a talented Church loan expert. During mortgage process, found out this was Robert's first time to do a parsonage loan. Because of Robert's guidance & inexperience, our church is now in jeopardy of losing $4,300. I emailed Andrew DeBerry to file a complaint against Robert but later discovered that Andrew was no longer with ACCU. Robert's incompetence has cost us financially plus all the time that has been spent on this unproductive process! I rate ACCU an "F" and filing complaint with the NCUA, regulator!

I rarely give 1 stars to anyone, but they donโ€™t even deserve any stars. By far one of the worst banks I have ever had. Please truly avoid at all costs. They always will find a way to mess with you and make your life harder than it really is. I always have some sort of issue with their service. Trust me. Look at their other bad reviews and youโ€™ll see why. Donโ€™t let their low APRโ€™s on things to bring you in like they did with me. DONT DO IT.

This website was recommended by: Allie Beth Stuckey a Christian YouTuber but I am amazed with the many negative feedbacks and decided to stay away.
Will lookup another Christian Bank that considers Christian values much more than money values!
P.S. decided to give 3stars for two reasons:
1. It has 3.2stars in total reviews which is fair enough
2. I can post my review so others can see it

May the Lord bless all the readers in Jesus name
