I do not recommend this management company. I have rented for 10+ years and this is the worst experience I’ve had with a property management company and manager. When we moved into our rented home in 2021, the property manager at the time was very attentive to our needs and communicated really well. In 2024, there was a transition and we actually went months living in the rental without a signed rental agreement as Aligned let it lapse. This became a problem later when we wanted to move out at what would’ve been the end of our new lease and Aligned insisted we pay for an extra month, which we did. The property manager did not communicate well with us, specifically on one occasion where she did not notify us that they had a contractor coming by. Having a stranger show up at our house unexpectedly in an unmarked car and walking around the house and upstairs to our deck was a frightening experience - we actually called the cops because we were concerned for our safety. Later the property manager told us that no rules were broken since a work order was placed - but neither I nor my husband (whose names are on the lease) ever placed an order through the maintenance portal for that instance. Finally, we have pets, so Aligned charged us a security deposit and animal deposit when we moved in. When we moved out, they assessed that we only had to pay for pet damages, but they did not take the amount from the animal deposit. They kept our animal deposit entirely, and took the pet damage amount from our security deposit and said the pet deposit was non refundable. When we brought this concern to the property manager and the ambiguity in the contract language, she admitted that the contract was ambiguous and needed to be updated, but still refused to apply the animal deposit to the pet damages, and stated that she also rents and had to pay a nonrefundable pet deposit to her management company for her pets, and that this is “standard practice.” We truly do not understand how it’s become standard practice for a management company to charge renters with pets an extra pet deposit and then not apply it to incurred pet damages. Overall, I truly expected more from a BusinessRate-awarded company.

We are in our second year at one of APM’s apartment complexes and it has been nothing short of peaceful. I was weary to move into an apartment because of lack of privacy, but that is not the case. We have loved every second of it. We feel comfortable and as if we have our own space, and we are always given a heads up if maintenance or pest control will be in. Maintenance requests are always attended to promptly, and the workers are always kind. Overall, it has been a great experience with APM and we have never been given a bad impression from anyone involved.

Me and My family have been with APM for almost a year now and the experience has been great!

My wife and I absolutely love this place. When we started looking for somewhere to settle down, we toured one of the openings they had and fell in love with the inside. You definitely get your money worth.
