Lou Robinson, CFO, has been a trusted financial advisor of mine for almost 15 years now. When we first spoke about me investing my retirement funds through his trust company, what he told me was, "The more you find out about us, the better we will look compared to other retirement management companies. " And he was right. The more research I did, the more impressed I was.

Alliance Trust is a fiduciary and therefore held to a higher legal standard of representation. I compared the fees to my previous investment management company, and Lou was right, Alliance's fees were maybe half of my previous company's. But honestly, it's not even about the fees, though that is definitely important. It's about what quality of service I always get. The attention to detail and time Alliance invests in me, as a client, makes me feel like I'm not just another number; I'm someone who matters.

The knowledge that I've gained since working closely with Alliance in my business and personal investments is incredible. I've never had a company go out of their way to go above and beyond before.

Well, I got hooked up with these guys almost a year ago. Have had mixed feelings about them since I've spent most of the time confused. Which is basically my problem, of course. It would be nice if they took a more assertive approach by asking more questions and checking out things on their end. I didn't even know what a trustee was before I came across them. And the alter ago stuff isn't really explained, which may actually be a good thing.

Yeah so basically I'm saying my cluelessness kind of colors this review against them, as I am still pretty clueless and have a lot of assets that need management... Among other things.
