Highly Recommend!
As a first-time home buyer I was shopping around for rates and came across Austin First Mortgage recommended by my colleague who used them for their home in Austin. I decide to call them to know if they serve Houston area, in less than 15 minutes, I received the quotes from them with such fantastic rates that none of the other lenders could even come close. I decided to go with them. Since not local, I was worried about communication and service, but from day 1 their team did a fantastic job in putting things together step by step and getting my mortgage ready in time for a very short closing deadline. Daniel our loan officer was so easy to work with, she was very knowledgeable and responsive, answered my emails and phone calls right away. She explained everything and kept me in the loop every step of the way. I couldn't be happier. I would highly recommend her! All paperwork and numbers were provided well before closing and allowed me to review everything in advance. Our closing costs came in even less than expected because she was able to offer multiple lender discounts on top of their low fees and no points charged for such good rate. Austin First Mortgage got 5 stars from our Real State Agent and our Closer as well, because our financing stood out against their other clients.

I have several finance and refinance experience with Austin First Mortgage. Generally their rate is good and can close the loan pretty fast. Only one time the experience is not so good is that an appraiser they used under estimate a house value by about 20%, which cost me having to put huge amount of my downpayment. This might not be entirely the fault of AustinFirst Mortgage, but they could use some experienced appraiser. Hope they can learn the lesson. The appraiser's name was Dobson whom I will never use again.

My broker is Ying zhou, she is very great and amazing. She just spent 2 weeks to finish all paperworks and closed it. Most of all, she helped me to find the lowest rate on that time. I compare several broker, her rate is lowest. She work hard and very responsible to every customer. She is very efficently, and repied me every message on time and gave me the prove letter very quicly. Because of her help, I got my dream house two month ago. She helped me save lots of money. I also recommended her to my friends who want to buy house. I also really appreciate Austin First Mortagage. If I buy second house, I still will choose Ying zhou.

Worked here a couple years ago. Work culture is extremely toxic. The office operations were highly disorganized and unprofessional. The company take advantage of immigrant who rely on work visa by paying them low wage and harming employees' mental health, even lead to the point of emotional abuse.
