Some of the most ridiculously unprofessional customer service I have ever experienced in a bank.
If it weren’t bad enough that they are not open on the weekends and they charge for cashiers checks or their customer service is not available after hours or weekends or they will freeze your debit card whenever you leave town (stranding you without funds and no customer service to help) but the worst thing about this bank is their audacious attitude when you have a question about their service ;when I tried to close one of my accounts I was asked by a teller (Johanna) “what’s your problem ? I’ll just close all your accounts “
(Which they did). When I brought it to the attention of the branch manager it took days to get them on the phone and when I did they could care less and they backed their employees behavior . Absolutely the worst customer service I’ve ever encountered in 53 years I would not suggest dealing with this bank you will regret it .

I am not sure why everyone has an issue with the $1500 a day limit. What are you people buying that you need more than $1500 a day? Anyway, they are very nice and helped me start my personal and business accounts. And come on people, a 1 star rating because you didn't read your paperwork before signing up? It is all there in black and white and I feel they do not need this rating because of your lack of judgement.

I had a $15,000 annual CD on file with them for 10 years. I earned a total of $243 in interest for that time period (.08% per annum apparently). I guess I would have hoped for for a better deal from my local bank.

First off the Staff at the branch i use in SLO are a bunch of really great and nice people. Till now i have enjoyed my experience with them. So this single star it not due to them at all. If you want to purchase something that is more than 1500.00 YOU CAN NOT USE YOUR DEBIT CARD. Not even if you call them to tell them you are going to buy something you need or have an important bill to pay. They do not properly explain this when you start your account. They say its for your protection but its your money and you are not allowed to spend it using your card. You have to use a check or give them the Routing info.

Poor and inferior service. You can't purchase anything beyond $1500/day even when you have enough funds in your accounts. They charge you for everything and all sorts of fees.
If you want to close your account they charge $25, which they did not disclosed verbally at the time of opening the account. I am sure there are better local banks in the community that customers should consider. Period.

I have been banking with Bank of the Sierra since it took over the previous local branch in that location. I have had nothing but excellent service, very, very nice people, always someone to help me, and I never wait very long. I highly recommend them for a great local bank.
