I recently visited the North Rim of the Grand Canyon, and it was incredibly beautiful. I preferred the North Rim over the South Rim, though both have their unique charm. To truly appreciate its beauty, stay for at least 2-3 days. There are many hiking spots; we only had time to visit Bright Angel Point, which is a 30-40 minute walk.

The north rim is hands down the best side of the Grand Canyon. Not worried about getting everyone excited about seeing it, because it’s too difficult for most people to try. Get away from the crowds, and see the north rim. There’s no bad view

When we were there in early July, 2024, the trail was closed. But there are still some view points we could check out and take photos. Amazing view!!

We enjoyed hiking this 1 mile out-and-back trail, with about 170’ elevation gain, in late-May 2024. It is an easy hike and the trail is in good condition. The views are spectacular! It is pretty crowded, as it is the main trail for viewing the canyon from the North Rim Lodge and Visitor Center. The trail surface is paved asphalt with some bumps and cracks; and, there a few steep sections, which might make it a challenge if you are not used to the 8,200’ elevation.

Highly recommended!

Such an absolutely gorgeous spot. We came during what I would assume would be a busy time and while there were certainly people, it wasn’t packed. No dogs beyond a certain point for very fair reason. I could’ve sat here all day. The drive in alone was beautiful. Get a park pass!!

Impressive view to the Grand Canyon. From here starts the most popular trail to the Canyon.

North Rim is a gem just like the south and west rim. Amazing nature - Sun, wind, cliff, canyon, colors, and sound.

The closest trail to the visitor center. Best sunset view. I would say most crowded trail in North Rim but far less people than in South rim. It's very quiet and peaceful.
