RUN AWAY!!!! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME!!!!

These apartments as advertised as “luxury” but they have not been updated since the 70s… from the moment we moved in we had so many problems!! These apartments are used as overflow for the Purdue college down the road so there’s a ton of college students smoking weed every day 😩 Every appliance is old and filthy!! They hire sketchy contractors to “fix” things and they always leave a huge mess. The apartment staff are so incompetent and they can’t keep the same people… every time there’s a new incompetent person you have to deal with!! The AC and Furnace are so loud and if something breaks it’s take 4+ weeks for them to repair it!! Please don’t waste your time like we did!!

The cherry on top of everything? When we moved out, we broke our lease early and paid the appropriate amount. However, after moving out they sent us an email with an additional $400 bill for leaving early We already paid over $2,000 to break the lease!!!!! Literally such a waste.

I recently moved into Canterbury Green Apartments, and my experience has been great so far! The leasing process was smooth, and the staff was very helpful and welcoming, making my transition easy. The apartment is clean, spacious, and well-maintained, offering a comfortable living environment.

The community itself is beautiful, with well-kept green spaces, walking trails, and great amenities like the gym and pool. The location is also a huge plus—everything I need, from grocery stores to restaurants, is just a short drive away. The neighborhood feels safe and peaceful, making it a great place to call home.

Overall, I’m really enjoying my time here and would definitely recommend Canterbury Green Apartments to anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient living experience!

Living at Canterbury Greens has been such a good experience, and a big part of that is thanks to Jazmine. From the very beginning, she was welcoming, helpful, and made the whole leasing process feel easy. You can tell she really cares about the residents

Very happy to be back at Canterbury Green. I left to embark on a new relationship and when that fell apart I stopped back at Canterbury's office where I was greeted by Cindy Connelly. Cindy worked her magic, helped me through the process and had me back in a better apartment in 4 days. The entire staff here is thorough and professional and this is where I'm staying.

If you are wondering if the horror stories you hear about this complex are real, they are.
My wife and I thought they may have been over exaggerated and are leasing a town home, here we are 6 months in and we get it now. Terrible conditions.
The agent we talked with to sign the lease ended up quitting, and we were never told. We had no questions answered until the week we were moving in. We get assigned a new agent that is supposed to be helping us. We move in, and start noticing a lot of damage. We weren’t expecting anything to be perfect, we were actually expecting it to be pretty bad, and it STILL ended up being worse. I was told to send damages to the agent and that they would be “documented”.

Been here months, expect $400-$600 in utilities on top of your rent every month. Allocated sewer fees make the sewer bill cost 4x the water bill.

I don’t even know if the damage was documented..I’ll post my list I wrote out here:

[
Front door:
-Door Chain barely nailed into the door frame. (You can easily pull and see the frame bend open)
-the door itself was painted while closed (white border around the door)
-there is no cover to the above light right when you walk in the door

***Doorknob struggled to open door and has gotten worse and worse each day since we have moved in. It’s gotten to the point it takes about 30 seconds to get it open.
We are unable to both leave at the same time now, because at this point we fear getting locked out from our stuff. Also, this is a major fire hazard if we had to escape in the event of a fire.***

Kitchen:
-random chips in counter
-broken shelf in cabinet above stove
-a couple shelves in cabinet by fridge are badly warped.
-missing track in dishwasher (if it’s meant to have one for the rack)
-Siding under the cabinets and sink is gone/stripped
-where the door frames meet the floor are beat up.
- Black paint splattered across window
Utility room (under stairs):
-circuit panel board cover is bent and missing two bolts.
-two holes from fasteners on the right when you walk in

Living Room:
-panel that goes around light switches is missing all four fasteners and comes off the wall
-Black paint streak on mirror
-Stair railing has a piece of wood wedged in between rail and ceiling.
-Railing towards bottom is loose
-below the sliding glass door, the sealing between the door and laminate is cracked all the way across

Upstairs:
-Carpet by stairs was not tucked and is able to be lifted up.
-Railing at top or stairs is loose
-side room has a small bump painted over that is cracking, possibly painted over water damage.

Upstairs Bathroom **potential for water damage**:
**first walked in to the seal/trimming completely from where the bathtub and floor meets**
-**sealing/caulking in the seams of the shower is worn down pretty low
-burn mark in counter by the left sink
-head of the screws in air vent on floor are sticking up and sharp to step on
-cabinet underneath sink has major patch of paint stripped
-toilet not sealed to ground (if thats a thing)

It took them over a week to replace our doorknob that was essentially locking us out. And we noticed within a month that water damage was showing through the ceiling from the first floor of the town home. They came to “fix” the leak twice and then painted over the water damage. Well the leak still isn’t fixed and we noticed today that the ceiling still is getting wet and spreading.
We went to reach out to them and were told that our second agent is also no longer with the company. We were told a contractor was coming to fix the ceiling/drywall on a certain date, no one showed.
That’s about all I have though from the two months we have been here. They have no communication and overcharge for damaged apartments. Hope our AC/heat doesn’t go out next!

I also attached some of the pictures that I took

Maybe I’ll change this rating someday.. not likely..

Contractor was able to push shower tiles through the wall with a finger, but was able to re-do/repair the tiles.

I've been living at Canterbury for over a year and just had a problem where our garbage disposal in the sink started leaking. Put in a maintenance request and Chris was here to fix it within a few hours. He was super nice and professional, got it replaced in 40 minutes, and now everything works great again with no leaks! Very happy with the maintenance team here.

Jazmine was the reason to live here. Amazingly helpful, and it did not stop after we moved in. I would walk in the office and seeing her I know we would get what we needed covered. I would suggest walking in and asking for her as we received the best support from her, even now a few months into our lease.

Lived here for a year. This company is full of crooks. I recommend that you never do business with these crooks.

The leasing agents tried to trick me into signing a lease with about 200 dollars higher than the agreed upon rent rate. As I was reading the lease, I noticed the rent rate was higher than the copy they sent me. I told them the rate is higher. They fixed it and I signed. The signing process didn't go through, they said there was an error, and that I had to sign it again. I read the lease again to make sure the rate was right. It was 200 dollars higher again. I had to tell them again to fix it before I signed the lease with the agreed upon rent rate.

A maintenance person entered the unit while no one was home without notice. He opened up bathroom fixture and didn't finish the job. He never came back to fix it. I requested maintenance to fix what the maintenance person opened up. Nobody came for months until water began to drop so much that I had to call emergency maintenance. They sent maintenance person, and he fixed the leak but didn't finish the job (He made a hole on the bathroom wall to fix the leak. He said he's going to come back to fix it. And he never came.)

They once changed the portal for rent payment to a new website. At first they said this is an additional, alternative, and optional website you can use to pay your rent. Then, about 2 days before the 1st day of the next month(rent due date), they notified the tenants that whatever payment they made in the previous website would be null and void and that they must use the new portal to pay rent. If you had already paid the rent in the former portal and missed the notice 2 days before the due date for rent, you'll have missed payment.

There is a lot more I can talk about but I stop here.
