Would give zero stars, Running Brook is INFESTED with mosquitoes due to a pool being left to become a swamp for the last 3 years with zero maintenance. It is a biological hazard and refuse to do anything about it. These people are CROOKS.

This company is beyond comprehension! We have special assessments and regular maintenance fees that at the beginning this year were place together into one account...thus creating a complete mess of accounting procedures..first of all if you submitted payments for special assessment let's say..and if your maintenance fee came in first it would credit ..and amount of assessment decreased...it is absolutely not good for business..they were fired from our association!!!

Warning: This company is deleting complaints from social media. There were several from various people that have been scrubbed.
CMA communities has been the management company for our condo property for approximately than 1 year. In that time it has been my experience that CMA has attempted to manipulate communications between the board and association members. Meanwhile, the management company has convinced the board that they need more money to perform their job while outsourcing a majority of the work. Specifically, I have sit in request to be related to the board for specific information and I get a generic response from the CMA representative. Avoid this company at all costs.

We have tried for months, almost a year to be exact, to receive some sort of communication about a safety concern on our property with our manager, Tristan Herbert. We have sent countless emails and voicemails. Nothing. Completely ignored. This group has zero respect for its residents and their safety. When people refer to HOA’s being a scam, they are referring to companies like this one.

Let's talk about horrible customer service. Community Management Associates (CMA) manages the HOA of my neighborhood. I've lived in my home three years and these are the experiences I've had with them:

1. My Property Manager hung up in my face when I called about an issue I had after I submitted a request through the HOA portal and he didn't respond to my request for over a week. I introduced myself and told him I got his number from CMA and he hung up on me. I emailed two division managers about it and have not received a response. The subject line of the email was "[NAME OF PROPERTY MANAGER] hung up on me". And the division managers have not responded to me. I kid you not...
2. Emails or requests we put in the portal about property questions or issues are not responded to for over a week - IF they are responded to at all
3. I've lived in my home for 3 years and had 3 property managers. None of whom were professional and attentive to the needs of their homeowners
4. I've talked to people in other neighborhoods that are managed by CMA and I hear similar stories.

In today's society, providing abhorrent customer service like this is extremely detrimental to your business. I'm a customer service consultant who reviews businesses on 6 different social media platforms. You never know who will see my reviews and decide not to hire CMA as their property management company when the time comes. And from what I'm hearing about their horrible customer service, there are neighborhoods looking to replace CMA. That's revenue CMA is missing out on.

Be sure to take care of your customers. In the case of CMA - not being rude would be a good starting point. You'd think it would be common sense for a business to know that if you're rude to your customers you will lose them. CMA - you need help training your employees how to treat your customers as if they are valued. Call me - I can help you... For a fee...

Their customer service, quality of service and unprofessionalism is unmatched. I’ve never encountered a management company with this poor level of service. These other reviews are lies! I’ve lived in a couple of neighborhoods where they managed the HOA. I thought it was the board in the first neighborhood, but oh no it’s CMA. The state of my current neighborhood is even worse and should be even easier to manage the 1/3 of homes that were in the first neighborhood. They are rude, incompetent, smarta&&es! I will never move anywhere they manage.

Attempting to communicate with Property Managers or their superiors is more difficult than getting an appointment with the president of the United States. Every email and piece of literature they send out brags about communication and accessibility.

However the reality is they are not interested in speaking with you on the phone. They do everything in their power to avoid speaking to you.

I have called management of the HOA 4 times in 4 weeks, to express concerns and I never get a call back. We haven’t had a HOA meeting since before Covid. The only communication that we receive are invoices and rebukes.
