There is never a moment that you won't enjoy the beauty of this island. This is truly like Mayberry on an island. From magical sunrises and sunsets to peaceful relaxation can be found here. The east end is dog friendly! There are multiple boat launches and a ferry to take you between fort Morgan and Fort Gains if you like. Look it up and check out all there is to do here. I'm sure you can find something for everyone! The best part is that it's not overly commercialized like other beaches! And did I mention the dolphins love to play? They swim around our boat every time we take it out!

Had to walk over half a mile through a bunch of mucky back water to get to beach. Missed the sign where you have to pay to park & came back after a few hours with a boot on my tire. Apparently this is common practice in Dauphin Island to put a boot on your tire if you don’t pay a $10 parking fee. They should really just use regular parking tickets. Using the boot seemed petty, over the top, and like they are on some major power trip. Also the parking enforcement person would not open my tire boot after I paid the fine because I was being disrespectful and she almost called cops to come in. DO NOT RECOMMEND GOING TO DAUPHIN ISLAND. I will not be going back after this horrible experience that ruined my vacation

A little bit of a walk from the car, but a beautiful beach with room for dogs for play without worrying about bothering anyone. Parking fee is good for all day for any beach on the island, which is nice.

I live nearby so I go to this beach very often, it's always very clean and quiet. There are fun things to do on the island like the sea lab and the sanctuary but the long stretches of open beach make the island really worth visiting.

Some of the most beautiful sunrises and sunsets. Very quiet and not crowed. Of course we went during Christmas and found out that's really the time to go.

I usually always have a great time while on the island. Fishing is hit or miss this time of year so you REALLY have to know where to go and what's gonna be biting and what they are biting. It takes knowing the times of the tides and responding accordingly. There are tons of fish to be caught, be it red fish, or sheepshead, or spade fish, or even the Spanish Mackerel, and trout are especially plentiful and easy to catch this time of year so it's best to be prepared with multiple types of setups for different approaches. Each has a little different type of charm for each species so do your research. But you are sure to catch quite a few fish, if you just hold your mouth right!! Hope to see y'all out there!!
