I move out gave them a move out date. I let the office know my 30 days notice. So when I moved I ask to have the apartment inspected before I left tawne. Was told there no one in the office as she was sick i said i have to leave tawne and i will be leaving the keys. Now they want me to pay for another month and saying i dint give my 30 days notice. I have called the office. No one will answere or returned my calls.

We lived at indian terrace villas for a year and loved it. When we moved out we were ripped off our deposits. The office manager said she sent them to our apartment address after we moved out. A month after we left. Never got our deposit. She kept it. Not good management. Glad they sold the place.

DO NOT RENT HERE!! I was evicted because I was 2 weeks late according to them. When I had first rented from them I was told that if thought I might be late I should call ahead and get permission. They still evicted me even though the arrangement was made. I came home one day to find a notice that I had 3 days to move out of my home. This is how I found out that the arrangement was not honored. It really upset me because I was trying really hard at that time to get my finances in order after a divorce, foreclosure and unemployment. I was so proud and happy to be heading in the right direction after getting a new job and out of my brother in laws house. For a single mother of three young kids, Deardorf did not care when I called and tried to figure out what happened to the arrangement. They said there was nothing they could do. I also asked why I wasn't notified before an eviction. She said she didn't know and hung up on me. I wound up getting two checks back in the mail. The one that was two weeks late and the one for the current month. I even called to ask why they mailed them back to me and if I should send them back...they said no. End result was I had to move in with my sister. They tried to bill me for almost $3000 saying we had damaged the apartment. All lies! I pride myself on how clean I left that place...it was move in ready. I was only there for 5 months when they did this to me. Nevertheless, due to the fact that it was a legal eviction, it is now on my credit report and I also have to disclose the eviction if I ever fill out a rental application. Bad people...they do not have anyones best interest at heart.

I moved into a Deardorf apartment 3 years ago. Since living here my rent went up 3 times. It started at $227 and then $410 and know it is $494. They recertify you according to your income. I gave them all my pay check stubs, taxes etc. They claim I will make $25,000 this year. If I do it is a surprise to me. The apartment is old from the 70s. Nothing has been updated in years. When I moved in the stove was greasy and nasty, bath tub stained and dirty. The bathroom and kitchen floor tile stained and dirty. I asked for the floor to be replaced, which would cost them $60. It was denied but they can charge me the highest rent for a one bedroom. The hallways are dirty and filled with bugs and cigarette butts.Parking has become awful. I think there are people living with residents that do not belong here. Do not rent an apartment from them. Management sucks. I will be moving out once my lease is up.

DO NOT rent from these people they are crooks, if they evict you, you still have to pay for the remainder of the lease for not giving them a 30 day notice of moving.

Avoid this company, they overcharge you and ignore any contact attempts to fix problems. Apartment office is never staffed.
