Even though the investment property that I was looking for did not match what was currently listed for sale on the site, the Doorvest team did not give up and worked with me closely to source a property that matched my cash flow target. Mike is awesome. The purchase process was straightforward, just had an annoying appraisal scheduling issue that delayed closing by over a week from what I wanted but the team worked quick with all of the people involved to resolve. So far property management has been good, the home I bought was leased out before I got it. I've noticed that I get a lot of emails from doorvest and it can be hard for keep track of everything, I wish there was a notification / message dashboard on the website to stay organized.

The sales process was really straight forward, I was able to explore and reserve a property online very easily as if I was buying something on amazon. Thank you to Ian from the sales partners for helping me select the best investment option for my unique financial situation. I really appreciated the detailed knowledge base available for reference about the Doorvest process too. If you are looking to use a 1031 exchange to purchase a home, this is a really easy way. They hold your hand through the whole transaction and connected me with someone from first american exchange who was able to speak about the 1031 process in detail to give me confidence in the process and timeline. So far since my purchase (June 2024), I have had no issues as the owner. A tenant was found for my property within a few weeks of ownership. I will be looking at purchasing additional homes from Doorvest next year once I have a better idea of how the investment has performed. Thank you!!!!

The negative reviews are all accurate. They are very receptive and helpful during the home buying stage. Once you have purchased the home, it will be impossible to get in touch with them. They fail to properly manage the home, rent to any tenant so it is not vacant, etc.. Your home will be trashed and they will send you large bills for random things to fix. I ended up selling the home after the tenant moved out, and cut my losses. It is not worth dealing with Doorvest. The CEO will speak with you when you complain- don't believe him! He is part of this dishonest business. He has known about the issues for 2 to 3 years now, and has not implemented any changes. Stay away from them- they are dishonest, incompetent, and could care less about the home owners or tenants.. The positive reviews are from their co-workers or their family members..
