If you are searching for a dental office, in my opinion you will not find a better one than Edgewood Family Dental! I never liked going to the dentist, but Dr. Salama and everyone on her team, from the office staff to the dental hygienist, and everyone in between are informative, patient, and very kind. I actually don’t mind going to the dentist anymore, because of everyone that works here talks to you at every step of whatever you are having done.

The receptionists and dental assistants at Edgewood have always been exceptional, and their professionalism was one of the reasons I initially chose Edgewood for my dental care. However, following the departure of the previous dentist due to the COVID-19 pandemic, a new dentist took over, bringing her own methods, which unfortunately did not suit me.

Regrettably, my experiences at Edgewood became increasingly stressful and negative. As mentioned in previous comments, I observed the dentist speaking to everyone in a semi-passive-aggressive tone, which I also experienced firsthand. During one of my last visits, I was spoken about disrespectfully in the treatment room, as if I were a child not willing to cooperate.

Additionally, I felt financially pressured during my final visit. In January 2024, I was advised to get crowns on three teeth, totaling approximately $4,000. This was following two crowns placed in November and December of 2023 on back teeth that had no issues other than the dentist's preference for their appearance. Subsequently, I was told I needed crowns on my front teeth, which was deemed urgent, despite the recent placement of crowns on teeth previously described as fine.

At that point, I decided to discontinue my visits to Edgewood. On February 11, 2025, I consulted with my former dentist from Edgewood and spent only $82 to have a tooth filled, which Edgewood had suggested needed to be replaced, along with two other teeth that were deemed healthy.

In conclusion, while I have a high regard for the staff at Edgewood, I regretfully must share my negative experiences with the current dentist.

The staff is all extremely friendly, professional and very thorough. This is a new dentist for us and we are very pleased. We would highly recommend them!

This place is super odd and the dentist herself is rude. She talks over you while your mouth is open, about you to others as if you’re not in the room. She treats her staff as if they’re incompetent. Saying things like “ why do you do it this way, you need to do it this way, who taught you this? Why don’t you do it like this?” I felt really uncomfortable.

I unfortunately chipped my tooth while flossing, and since my previous dentist had retired recently, I didn't want to deal with the hassle of finding a new one.

From my first interaction with this office, I was completely impressed. Tiffany was the one who helped schedule my appointment and even sent me the paperwork to complete ahead of time. When I arrived, I was greeted by a friendly and upbeat team. Mara, who was my main contact, made me feel very welcome and regularly checked in to ensure I was comfortable throughout my visit. Once the treatment plan was outlined, the front office staff thoroughly explained the costs and what I should expect.

Dr. Mary Salama is an absolute rockstar. She took the time to show me actual photos of my teeth and explained the rationale behind the recommended treatments. Seeing the issues visually really helped me understand the approach. Despite her busy day, she was gentle and thoughtful, ensuring she addressed each patient’s needs. After my visit, I was confident that I had found my new dentist. Even though I felt some discomfort during the procedure, they provided extra numbing to ensure I was fully comfortable.

The office itself is pristine, and the equipment looks new and well-maintained. They even use AI technology to show detailed images of my teeth and take 3D scans of my mouth, which was a first for me. This shows they’re quick to adopt the latest advancements in dental care. I’ll definitely be recommending this practice to everyone I know who needs dental services in the future.

I went to Edgewood Dental for a regular scheduled teeth cleaning on Monday. While being examined a crack was noticed in an existing filling. They had me scheduled back in within 2 days to fix it. Been a patient there for over 10 years. Dr. Mary Salama is very professional as well as everyone else who I have had the pleasure of dealing with there.

Great experience for a dentist visit.The hygentist was absolutely great. Explained so much ,so clear.. exactly how and why things happen or go bad. And ways to fix areas , without making me feel like im living my life wrong.. thx much.

Edgewood Family Dental staff members do a wonderful job. My insurance changed, but I'll stay with Edgewood Family Dental, because Dr. Salsma and the team at the Edgewood are the best. They're wonderful ❤️
