Very disappointed with Michael and his “agent” Ramy, contacted them September 13th, 2024 to make a policy change for my policy that was renewing 10/13/24 I submitted everything necessary before the 20th of September. After 2 weeks of a bunch of back and forth emails and several estimate document forms and misunderstanding on my total premiums and annual mileage for each car we finally clarified the final premium cost of a said certain amount. I finally then asked him after a long two weeks October 3rd 2024 for a breakdown of what the initial payment and monthly payment would look like and he responds with “ Not the exact down payment with taxes and fees. I will see if a rep from the billing department can calculate it tomorrow if not, we will need to wait for the renewal to get the exact amount” I then log into my account to see my new policy and what I’m going to be initially charged to renew and the information is not updated and I’m getting an initial charge to renew the policy of the total premiums before the changes I initiated Sept 13th. I asked him why that was and he once again shifted the blame to the billing department, claiming that the bill was already issued and couldn’t do anything about it. I tried to explain to him that it wasn’t fair since I had done my due diligence in doing my part to get the policy changed and to be charged a significant initial amount was not okay. He said he couldn’t do anything about it and referred me to the billing department, I’m writing this so that other clients can be aware, your agent should always try and help you and guide you through making your renewal smooth and as informative as possible. Unfortunately this was not the case for me, I let Ramy have a taste of my frustration and requested the billing departments number. I contacted them and after explaining my nightmare they were able to make the corrections and adjust my initial policy payment to the appropriate amount that reflected the changes. @Michael Martinez please train your agents on how to advocate for customers, support customers most importantly take care of their paying customers. Thankfully the billing department is well trained and saved you guys from making Farmers lose a customer because of laziness and lack of willingness to help a customer.
