We were transferred to this agency when our agent retired. Our policy was rewritten not once, but twice without agreeing to bind coverage. We cancelled a policy (what we thought was the only one we had) in July of 2022. Come to find out, our policy was never cancelled and we had 3 total polices all on the same house. Instead of canceling the policy, they allowed them to lapse for non pay (essentially allowing it to count as a sell) and then letting the policies cancel on its own. We have spent the last 4 months dealing with the mess and as expected it is everyone else’s fault. Absolutely would not recommend.

Update: Since the cancellation was never processed on the correct policy (the only one we should have had), we are now having to go through the state to get a refund. The policy was written through FedNat insurance and that company went under 9/27/2022. Had our cancellation been submitted on the correct date of 7/20/22, the refund would have been correctly reapplied. But, since the cancelled was received on 4/30/2023, we have to request a refund prior to insolvency with a backdate. We have spent hours and hours on the phone due to carelessness. Now, I say “we” meaning my husband and I… absolutely no help from this office.
