First Savings Bank has been my personal banking choice. It has been for nearly 20 years. I have all of my accounts here. From the loan officers, tellers, and "the behind the scenes" people, they are wonderful people. If they happen to get a rude employee, trust that they will not last long there. First Savings is STRONG AND GROWING in leaps and bounds. This is easily evident when exploring Southern Indiana. In building a relationship with them, they will get to know you, and you them. I cannot express how valuable this is. Their interest rates may be slightly higher than some competitors, (compared to secondary market Lenders) but the value of the relationship far exceeds a very minute higher interest rate. I'm not criticizing other local banks at all...they are excellent, it is just that First Savings Bank decisions are made by neighbors of our community. Banking is a "Building Trust" endeavor between borrower and lender...when you build that trust with local people, they know you, and are likely to be the one helping hand in your greatest moment of need.

Cindy Osborne is fantastic to work with, she delivers excellent customer service, is extremely thorough in explaining everything and answering all questions to where you understand what all is involved in the home loan process. 5 Star Customer Service, and she really does care! I value Cindy’s knowledge and expertise, as well as her ability to explain details, because it’s extremely important to me to know the ends and outs of what I’m signing/agreeing to. I would highly recommend her to anyone who is looking for a home loan and for any other banking needs.

First Savings Bank has served my family personally and professionally for over a decade. We have always been treated well along with our children who are now grown, with their own accounts. They have helped us with professionally with business loans and are very competitive with their rates. Their online app allows us to manage multiple accounts all in one place and has direct check deposit through photo capture inside the app. They can replace lost/stolen debit cards the same day in the Corydon branch.

I can't believe I'm putting this, but I has a bank teller say to me that I "deserved" and "gave permission" to a company to unethically steal my money. She yelled at me and told me there was nothing else to do because I "gave them permission" to do it.

And then it gets better. The manager was nice, but all he had for me was "I dunno". He actually told me to just "ignore it". What? Is that seriously how you treat your clients?

I've lived in this backwater town for 12 years (very much against my own will since I was underage until now) and I thought that the one institution I could count on would be the bank. Everything else has always been s*** here, so maybe I shouldn't even be surprised.

They haven't even sent me my new credit card yet (14 days now I believe), but when I get it, I'll be closing my account and can finally forget all about this backwater h***.

Advice: DON'T EVEN LIVE HERE! You can do better.

Terrible bank. You can’t call in and speak to anyone. Their mobile banking does not work and does not update correctly. You have to sit on hold for lengthy times for the call to disconnect. Do not bank here. It will only frustrate you if you wish to actually speak to a person on actively monitor your account

If you could leave no stars I would. Everytime I call I get the same girl Alyssa I think? She is always very rude sounds like she hates her job. Never helps with what I'm asking and acts as if it's a BIG task to answer my questions. I've called about 4 times over the year and every time she's rude and every time it's her.
