I can’t believe how long it’s taken me to write this review — but even years later, my gratitude is just as strong.

We initially hired Kristen thinking her support would be mainly for my partner, but it turns out both of us gained so much more than we ever expected. I truly cannot imagine going through our home water birth without her. Her presence, guidance, and calm strength made the experience not only manageable, but empowering.

What I didn’t realize when we hired a doula was how much support would come before and after the birth, too — and how essential that would be. I learned so much about prenatal care, postpartum healing, and even the basics of newborn care — things I had no idea about before. It’s one thing to plan for the birth itself, but it’s another to have someone walk with you through all of it — the unknowns, the emotions, the real life afterwards. That kind of support is beyond words.

If you are even considering hiring a doula, I cannot recommend it enough. The value of what you gain from a doula’s support — before, during, and after your birth — is truly priceless. In hindsight, the financial investment feels absolutely inconsequential compared to the experience, strength, and reassurance we were given.

Hiring Kristen was hands down one of the best decisions we made for our family.

What can I say about the wonderful woman at Flagstaff Doulas. It’s really hard to describe the level of commitment and care from this powerhouse group of women. From the pre-birth classes, to the delivery room doula support, to the placenta encapsulation, to the post partum Doula’s, to the overnight support, my husband and I are all in! We have loved working with Kristen to coordinate our care team. I would highly recommend Liz for Pre and postnatal massage and day of delivery room support. We ended up having to do a C-section and she was incredible helping to us navigate the challenging tides. I also would highly recommend Jen as our postpartum Doula, and Emily as our overnight Doula. We are three weeks in and feeling empowered and supported!

I wish I could give more than 5 stars.....Flagstaff Doulas offered compassionate, informed support to us during my pregnancy, birth and postpartum. My husband and I were able to have all of our questions answered before signing our contract and the level of professionalism and kindness was unmatched. The class offered with our Doula contract was so helpful and then the prenatal and postpartum support was incredible as well. Betsy was our Doula for our birth and was with us every step of the way. I truly believe that I would not have been able to achieve the birth that I wanted without the support of Flagstaff Doulas. I will forever be grateful for Flagstaff Doulas and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a kind, caring birth team.

Flagstaff Doulas was one of the best decisions we made during our pregnancy. The team was very friendly, supportive and empowering. The information we learned in Kristen’s class enabled us to have the exact birth we had hoped for! A natural hospital birth that felt more like a home birth experience. Our doula, Liz, was amazing and provided valuable support we didn’t even realize we needed. Highly recommend.

Flagstaff Doulas are the best! Kristine was a godsend for me during a high risk pregnancy as well as into postpartum. Not only are their acute services wonderful, but they do events throughout the year and really strive to create a community. If you are on the fence, dont be! Betsy and Liz were my doulas and my husband and I appreciate the time they put into helping us prepare for our second borns arrival. They asked wonderful questions to better understand how they cluld support us. After 2 weeks of prodromal labor, real labor began and Betsy was the solid, gentle support I needed for a very fast delivery.

I cannot recommend flagstaff doulas enough! Kristen was my doula for both of my babies' births and I wouldn't ever want to give birth without her there. She is so intuitive and was able to support me in ways I wouldn't have even imagined - like making me a bath while I'm in labor without me needing to ask/getting the bath set up based on my body cues that it's time to be in water.
My husband and I are both so grateful to Kristen and everything she taught us (through the birth prep class) to help us have such incredible birth experiences.
Betsy was our second doula, she's also a pre/postnatal and pediatric chiropractor and I saw her weekly at the end of both of my pregnancies. Although she wasn't the one that attended my births, she was still such a vital part of my support system and birth team.
I strongly believe that everyone should have a doula for their birth's and Flagstaff Doula's certainly sets the standard high!
