The absolute worst mortgage company. I have owned my home for over 4 years now & have never had not 1 issue with my 2 other previous companies. I’m now stuck with a company with all 1 star reviews, & believe me they’ve earned it. I always* stay one month ahead on my mortgage payment… this has never been an issue & I have always done it through the app until it got bought out by them in September.

Freedom mortgage online for some reason will not allow one month ahead payments. Each month I call & make a MORTGAGE payment to an agent (not the machine)…. Yet every single month they put it in as a principal payment. They have assured me over & over it will be a mortgage payment, even sent me emails & I’ve gone as far as recording the short convo to prove I am making mortgage* payments each month. It’s frustrating getting a bill in the mail that I’ve already paid yet their system shows I didn’t. Calling every single month multiple times for a simple mortgage payment is getting old.

Bait and switch scheme. Originally quoted us a price and even emailed us an official Loan Estimate, however the next day when we got the actual loan paper work, the new loan estimate contained $1500 more in lender fees that differs from the loan estimate just a day earlier! Such scam!

I am assuming a Veteran loan.
The process has taken almost 5 months and they are still asking for new documentation that has been submitted 3 times.

They have taken so long with this process that they have to run my credit again.

If I wasn't already 5 months into this process I would stop, but thats what they want.

They say its a assumable, but they make it almost impossible to close.
