Jackie was a life saver for us. We were having issues with another lender when she took over our loan and got us a great interest rate. Jackie worked very efficiently to get our loan set up and finished quickly. I also liked how she explained everything. I have bought a few houses and still don't understand all the lingo that goes into acquiring a loan. I wish I would of had the experience in working with Jackie. I did see her for a couple of minutes while in the office of another employee. Yes, she sounded very knowledgeable. I did go on line and complete the website info on Jackies page, and was looking forward to working directly with her. I read up on her reviews and was excited to go with someone that understands VA process. I was called by a co worker and told that I would be meeting up with her, as the person intake for some documents that were requested. I had knowledge on the VA loan process, and while speaking to the intake young lady, I was told information that was not the information that I had researched on line and was confused. Wondering if I missed a cut off for the actual loan that I was seeking. While in this office for intake, Jackie stepped in for a quick minute and did clarify to her some of the items in regards to the VA process. So I did understand what I had read on line, and at this moment I was a little uncomfortable and just wanted to meet with Jackie. I understand that she is truly busy, but my whole reason for deciding to go to this mortgage company was because of Jackie’s high reviews. Sorry that I did not get the pleasure of working with Jackie one on one. Best luck to others. 🙁

I got matched with Jackie Toppin when I requested to get pre-qualified through the Zillow app. Jackie very promptly answered my request, and was initially very detail-oriented and helpful with the process. However, three weeks into my home-buying adventure, she went AWOL for a full week. Myself, my employer, and my financer were all unable to contact her; therefore, we lost a full week of progress in a very busy housing market. As we approached closing, Jackie seemed disinterested and distracted. She would routinely ask me important questions last-minute, via text, or while traveling. She failed to give my financer full information to wire my funds for closing. On the day of closing, she caused a delay by communicating time-sensitive information last-minute via email instead of via phone. Ideally, this time-sensitive information should have been communicated to all parties involved BEFORE the day of closing. Other complaints I had included repeatedly asking me for copies of documents that I had previously supplied her and withholding a copy of my pre-approval letter.

When I expressed my disappointment and frustration to Jackie, she simply ceased communicating with her client... on the day of closing. I understand that due to the pandemic and crazy housing market, we are all struggling under stress. However, Jackie managed to make me feel like once she knew she had my business, she could care less about working with me for a successful sale. I sincerely hope that I just happened to be working with Jackie during a difficult time in her life... but I would recommend to future buyers that you go with a mortgage service you can trust, that has your best interests in mind, and that isn't overwhelmed by the current demand in housing.

I am Lieutenant Commander Vern M. Yates US Navy retired. My wife and I felt very fortunate when our daughter introduced us to the folks at Guarantee Mortgage. She wanted to buy a home but couldn’t do it by herself. We hoped that we could fit in and help somehow.

At the office, the loan officer, Jacqueline Toppin, introduced us to Robin and others in her staff and we had a brief visit before getting down to business. After a few minutes of fact-finding, Jackie looked at me and said “You should buy the home on a VA loan." I was flabbergasted, questioning my age. She said “age is not a factor, you cannot be discriminated against.” Our daughter was overjoyed and my wife was in full accord.

Jackie put the wheels in motion... we were buying a home! The following weeks and months were filled with details. Jackie made sure I understood everything, especially to the VA. She left no stone unturned and I felt like I was getting a college education. What was originally supposed to be a June 2017 closing reached fruition in November. Jackie attended the closing with us making sure we understood everything.

Anytime we have a question we continue to call and get the answers we need with a smile. It was, and continues to be, a wonderful experience. We happily recommend Guaranty Mortgage to anyone.
