Dr Pipkin is a fantastic dentist, and the staff are friendly and welcoming! Needed an emergency appointment and an extraction. It was really painless and I felt really comfortable the whole time. I’m not local but it would be worth the 20 mile drive!

OK, I'm still in shock after having the conversation with the receptionist this morning. No Hometown about this dental place.
I just got back from the hospital because my father has dementia and I missed my appointment but they didn't care. They said I could not reschedule my appointment. Ever.
Such horrible experience such disregard for people's situations. I would never, ever recommend this place maybe other people have been treated right, but this for me was the worst experience ever. I am 51 years old and never, ever have known for a company to work in this manner.
That is all I have to say trust me there are plenty of dentists that will be happy to take me.

I am absolutely Very happy with Dr. Pipkin. She has taken good care of me and she’s the best, friendliest, and most caring Dentist Ive ever had. She always explains the treatment plan to me and even discusses other possible treatment plans. The staff has also been extremely friendly, explain and coordinate all insurance activities, and work with me to find the best and cost effective options. I recommend this office and Dr. Pipkin!

I travel from out of state to have my dental work done by Dr. Pipkin It is always a calm and relaxed experience. I came in recently to have a root canal, and the experience was pain free. The office staff is friendly and attentive. I recommend Dr. Pipkin to anyone for their dental needs.

I have been going to Hometown Dental for over 20 years along with taking my whole family. After the practice was sold to the new owner/dentist it’s gone downhill in quality of work and most of all TREATMENT OF HER PATIENTS!!!! I am getting ready to move out of state and time is very limited for my schedule, so I had an appointment today for 3 fillings and when I arrived, they said the doctor only would do 1 and now thinks that 1 of the fillings needs a crown. I stated I could not afford a crown and at least fill it so that it didn’t get worse. How in 1 month does a filling turn into a crown and without even looking in my mouth! I ended up in tears 😭!!! I already have anxiety about going to the dentist, and made the appointment specifically to get all my fillings done all at once. I felt that she just wanted more money and also wanted to leave early for the day. She didn’t even have the respect to come talk to me in person, or examine the tooth that she said, I needed a crown all of a sudden. So basically, they were only willing to do one filling and have me come back two more times. So I walked out and will never go back (even if I wasn’t moving). I miss Dr. Sweeney greatly, he was an amazing dentist, and an even better man…He cared about his patients and so I am Very sad that the new dentist at Hometown Dental doesn’t seem to care about people (patients). You just don’t treat people this way! I have always told people to go to Hometown Dental and now I will tell people DO NOT TO GO TO HOMETOWN DENTAL!!!!

Been going here for a looong time. 5 stars when Dr. Sweeney was there. I’d give them less than one if I could now. The last cleaning I had in January included X-rays. After the cleaning, I was told by the hygienist the Dr. wasn’t there, but if there were any issues with the X-rays I would be contacted. Essentially, everything is great & no cavities. Two months later, I’m back in because my front teeth are really sensitive. The dr. looks at the X-ray FROM MY PREVIOUS APPOINTMENT and says there’s a shadow and has me take a CT scan. After, they say I have a cyst, need surgery, and two root canals. She said it would have developed over time, not two months. Well… IF YOU WOULD HAVE READ THE X-RAY TWO MONTHS AGO, THIS WOULD HAVE ALREADY BEEN DIAGNOSED!!! At this point, I have questions. Well, the dr disappears after I’m told it’s not cancer and I’m assigned a receptionist to contact the oral surgeon, who seems to be more interested in pushing me out the door than answering any questions. Between the lack of care, the in & out “car wash” style they’ve adopted to clean your teeth, and the office staff who essentially wanted my daughter to just gut it out with wisdom teeth pain until her next appointment in four months, I’ll be finding another dentist.
