We reached out to Hometown Lenders to get approved for a mortgage. We completed the online form and my wife spoke to someone named Jennifer a short time later. She said that we were pre approved but could not tell us our rate, not even a ballpark, which I thought was odd. My wife also asked about a mortgage recast to which Jennifer said she needed to talk to her manager first. That same day, we were cc'd on an email she sent to a Daniel advising that we wanted to put an offer on a home and wanted to know our rate. This email also asked about the mortgage recast.

That was two weeks ago and we haven't heard a word since.

A few days later we went with another local agency who were able to give us specific rates and answers to our questions within a couple days.

With all the advertising they do, I guess they have more customers than they can keep up with.
