Location is perfect -- in the center of downtown Greenville walking distance to lots of great food and shops, and they have options for just a weekend visit or extended stays for folks like travel nurses, people having a house built, etc. And they have great parking, which isn't always easy to find downtown. Savannah is awesome to work with -- very responsive, helpful, and always very pleasant! I recommend to everyone I know who need a place to stay while they are in Greenville!

My name is Marcy Connors and I am an artist at The Art Crossing thanks to Mr. Phil Hughes and Metropolitan Arts Council.
I am an illustrator and tell stories through my Artwork. The day I met Mr. Phil Hughes and his wife was at an Agricultural Art Show that they presented in Greenwood, SC., my hometown. Mr. Hughes’ family comes from an agricultural background, which made this art show more meaningful to me for I was raised on a cattle, horse farm. I presented 26 paintings of farm animals and Mr. Phil Hughes asked me why I painted this series of farm animals and I told him my story and my amazing family. He listened and remembered!
I had lived in New Hampshire for 28 years and it was time for me to come Home again for many reasons!! I had become very well known muralist and illustrator and painted 225 large scale murals for homes and commercial business.
I settled in a wonderful studio/ Gallery at 10 Central, which was located in downtown Greenville. No one knew me and I had no art commissions. I won 6th place in Flat Out Under Pressure the first 2 weeks moving here for my Holstein Cows painting. MAC placed my recycle bin in front of Mast General, one of the most popular stores in downtown Greenville. I also worked several jobs at The Art Cellar Gallery and varies babysitting jobs at night, so that I could paint during the day!
Thank you Mr. Phil Hughes and MAC for giving me the opportunity to be a working Artist in the most amazing The Art Crossing Galleries ! Because I come from a real estate family, as well, I simply say to our visitors from all over the world that ?Greenville… It is a special place indeed, because the entrepreneurs in this international small city GIVE BACK! I mention Mr. Phil Hughes and his wife are Art Lovers and that is why they started the Art Crossing, contributors of the Art Museums, various developments and opportunities throughout Greenville County.
