I cannot recommend Jay Sondhi highly enough! As a first-time homebuyer, we had a lot of questions and concerns about the mortgage process, but Jay and his team made things much simpler. From the very beginning, Jay took the time to explain different loan options, walked me through interest rates scenarios, and broke down the calculations in a way that made sense.

Jay was always patient and incredibly knowledgeable, ensuring we felt confident in my decisions. The entire process, which is over whelming overwhelming, turned out to be less stressful thanks to guidance and expertise. Also appreciated Jay's sense of humor and communication style!

Jay was the person who made our home buying experience much smoother than it could have been. In the initial meeting, he laid out options that could be fitting to my circumstances, and there were options I had not considered before. Once our offer got accepted, he and his team helped us secure the mortgage with a competitive rate and a great payment option. They were able to complete the whole process of getting the appraisal and the underwriter's review much sooner than we anticipated with little friction, which helped the closing of our house much earlier than the originally estimated date. His team essentially gave us about a week of time to update the house before an arrival of our new baby, which turned out to be very valuable. I was in a jam. a previous bank had turned me down for a loan and would not give me an explanation why after I had gotten a preapproval from them. I had already signed a contract to buy a house. I decided to try someone else. I went to Yelp to find a new loan broker and I saw Jay Sondhi from US Bank on yelp. I called him and he answered the phone. We set an appointment to meet the next day. I brought everything I needed. Jay was reassuring. He told me he could do the loan after looking at my tax returns and some other papers he asked for. Well he came through. He and Paige work their butts off. It was stressful for me. I felt that since I got turned down by a big bank, I may get turned down again. They did what they told me they were going to do and got the loan approval in time for the closing. I highly recommend Jay Sondhi and Paige. They were straight forward and explained to me what is needed. I can't thank them enough.

UPDATE:
2.5 yrs later, we just refinanced our mortgage with Jay and got a much better rate. Just like last time, Jay was great throughout the process. Thanks, Jay!

ORIGINAL REVIEW:
Jay is truly a class act who understands professionalism in the face of adversity. This can't be stressed enough. We weren't able to conclude an arrangement with him this time, but I will definitely try to work with him again next time.

We were looking for mortgage offers on a new construction condo. Jay's offer was the best, and also we found him to be the most knowledgeable and the most personable of all our brokers. We happily accepted his offer and notified the builder. A few days later, the builder's preferred lender contacted us with a new offer that significantly undercut Jay. The builder rep and the preferred lender agent then gave us a long spiel about how much easier and safer it would be to stick with a preferred lender. They said it would be less red tape, less paperwork, and generally less hassle. (Maybe it's true. I can't say I know for sure.) Reluctantly, we bought into their hype and switched over to them.

The tough part was notifying Jay, after his people had nearly finished processing and approving our loan. He handled it with understanding and professionalism. I was ready to sit through an angry rant if he had one, but he didn't! We continued talking for a week afterward, and he was great throughout.

Jay, I'm sorry it didn't work out this time. We'll definitely seek you out next time! Thanks for everything!
