We almost got sucked into a terrible deal with an unnecessary second 15 year loan to cover closing costs when we had 21k sitting in our escrow account. We were getting charged over 6k to buy down our rate among many other really high loan fees. Being first time home buyers and not understanding the process we trusted that it was in our best interest to follow Kathleens guidance. Once I found a new lender who was able to explain to us what exactly it all means.. I was shocked. There is no reason anyone needed to try and get us to take out another loan when we had enough money available make the deal work without doing so. It was only when I informed Kathleen I was going with a new lender and would not need her services that she responded with an option to "go to her higher ups" and try to get us a better deal.. these people say they are looking out for your best interest but they are really looking out for their own pockets. I got a better rate, lower payments and paid a lot less fees then the deal she was giving us. Do better Kathleen. You were never looking out for us like you always said..I trusted you and I am an idiot for that. If u believe the lies you feed to your clients then u need to get better educated at what your doing with your life.
