We used Marc to update our counters before we sold our property. The results were horrendous. Given we were selling our property, he likely thought he'd get away with it since we were out of state.

Unfortunately for him we happened to be visiting after the installation and saw the final results: the walls were dented and damaged, some places the paint had been somehow cut away from the wall, there were what appeared to be burnt edges on the sides facing whoever would be in the kitchen, there was some really awkward "leveling" attempt on the sink side, the backsplash edge didn't line up with the counter, and lastly the caulking job around the sink looked like a three year old had finger painted it on...

Luckily the market is strong and we were able to sell the property, but the work completed showed little to no pride in the job done. I was extremely thankful we went with someone else to do the other parts of the bid Marc originally gave us.

My only thought is he hired someone with little to no experience with this work, left them to complete it, then either never checked it, or crossed his fingers that since I was out of state would never see the results.

The rest of the bid was outrageous, 70% of it was $5200 to paint 850 sqft

It was a bit hard to find his company, RCC, but I was able to confirm through his bid and you can look at the attached picture yourself to know it is the same person. Hats off for working hard and running two businesses, I just wish we had gotten quality results.

I’ve been trying to get in contact with this team for a little over a week I’ve never gotten a call back and when they text me they don’t respond till 9 pm , reading other reviews I think I’ll be going to the bbb because I need a place and they aren’t helping what so ever. One word responses is crazy. Don’t use them please it’s a waste of time .

Marc and Skylar at BG Asset Management have been overseeing our families multi family units in Richmond and Berkeley, CA for me since 2018 and I have been extremely happy with the way his team has handled everything during that time.

Marc is always quick to take care of things whenever I need something done. If I ever need help, I only have to email him and he looks after it. We once had an intoxicated driver crash into our building causing a huge mess for myself and some of the tenants - the situation was a nightmare! Marc's team did a wonderful job in making things easy from putting up the tenants in a hotel to coordinating the repairs with the insurance.

I couldn't recommend Marc and his team any more highly.

I have made 4 appointments with BG Asset Management, and they canceled all appointments on me. Very frustrating as I had already requested the time off from work and school! They don’t answer their phones and if you leave a voicemail, they never return your call. I had my partner request to see some of the apartments that they have listed on Zillow and other websites, and he was never called contacted back either.
DO NOT WORK WITH THIS COMPANY!
They do not care!

I moved out in June of 2022 and this company has not sent my deposit for an apartment I rented! I’ve called and email but no one is responding at all! I just want my funds! Be careful if you plan to rent from them! As of 8/31/2022 I have not received any payment the address you have is correct! This just show how professional the business is because you post on google but not returning my call or email! I know you saw the check wasn’t cashed so please send me the payment!
As of 9/21/2022 still have not received my deposit, I guess I’ll keep updating till I receive my payment! As of 10/8/2022 still have not received my deposit!!

I have seen the same properties for over a month now go on and off the market. I made a few touring appointments and EVERY time the date of the tour I received a reschedule request then a notification that the property has been taken off the market? What kind of professionalism is this? Mark, Claire and Tiffany. Please advise!! Still waiting for advice

Let me preface this by saying, I’m sure Marc Guzman is great. This review is specific to BGAM, his management company. I have had a horrible experience working with them as a potential customer. I am looking to relocate to the Bay Area and in looking I stumbled upon a house that is currently being managed by BGAM. I put in my application June 12th, between then and now, there was very spotty communication and whenever we did speak they needed something additional despite it having not been something she needed before, thus prolonging the processing. I am barely hearing back today, July 21st, that we have been denied due to not meeting their minimum requirements, despite being told almost 3 weeks ago, that we met their requirements and were just waiting for the Owner of the home to decide between us and another applicant. I cannot speak for all of BGAM’s workers but the experience I have had has left a bad taste in my mouth.

Marc's a great guy, really looks out for you. He and his team seem to always be trying to push to do more and implement new tools to help protect you and grow your revenue.
