When I first moved in, in January 2023 the first day I moved in my bathroom flooded due to the neighbor upstairs. I called to see if maintenance would come and check it out but no one came even after they told me they were coming. Then around Iām going to say April or May the same problem happen again with the bathroom. I called the emergency maintenance after hours. I explain to him what happened he told me someone would be on the way that night. I waited all night for someone to come and they did not come to the next day in the afternoon. I believe that Urban Alternative does not care about their tenants they only want your money. I say that because I end up getting roaches from the person upstairs, I know that I got it from them because when they moved out, Maintenance started remodeling the apartment upstairs next thing I know I see roaches coming in my apartment out of nowhere. I called the manager of a building and let them know what was going on. They had me under the impression that an exterminator would be out in a few days after I called to exterminate my apartment so when they did not show up a few days later, I called again to see what was the holdup, because the problem was starting to get bad, so when I called again, they then told me they have to wait until they get put on the list for someone to come out and spray the apartment. I then proceeded to let them know that as I was walking through the building, I saw more roaches and let them know they need to exterminate the whole building. Two months later, they finally brought somebody to spray my apartment with bug spray ( if that was the case, I would have continued to do that). Then, right before I moved out in February I saw more roaches in my apartment, and in the building. If I knew how bad the roach problem was here I would have never moved here.I also recommend not moving here because the walls are very thin, you can literally hear your neighbors whole conversations and that is just a violation. Back in late August, September and October someone was breaking into the cars, unfortunately for the tenants we couldnāt do anything about it because they apartment building do not have cameras for the parking lot.
The air conditioner and heat vents smells and needs to be cleaned. Iām not sure if Lisa or Leilani really cared about what was going on in this building. Back in November, I told the apartment manager that my apartment was freezing It felt like I had no heat. She then proceeds to tell me as long as itās 60Ā° on your thermometer you should be fine. in January, the temperature was negative degrees and my apartment felt like I was outside thatās how cold it was in there. I asked my neighbor if this is how it is every year they told me yes they told me the apartment manager does not do anything about it. I just really donāt recommend Urban alternative or Marquette Apartments It seems like they just want your money.
