Peoples Mortgage Company is not trustworthy and hires individuals who practice shady things.

First, I left a one-star review for Sean Stokes, and that displays as five stars on the Testimonials page, indicating they don't display the accurate rating. See the attached images for verification. Also, I just checked, and my review is no longer on their site (not by my doing).

Sean Stokes violated the privacy of me and about 250 other clients of his at U.S. Bank prior to leaving by sharing personally identifiable information through emails to this list with his client email addresses in Carbon Copy (CC), revealing them to all recipients. He is not one I would ever trust again.

If People's Mortgage Company hires people who violate privacy and trust, I wouldn't recommend them at all.

This has been a nightmare! The worst experience of my life and I have now considered I will never buy a home because of the hell I went through with this company! They switched the person I was working with 3 different times and every time I got a new person they requested something different of me and waited until day before closing to request more items that they could have in the beginning! I have never dealt with such company in my life!

We just purchased our second home through the Golembiewski team at Peoples Mortgage (in two years may I add)! They have been an absolute pleasure to work with and we recommend them to all of our family and friends who are and have been looking to purchase a home.

Amber Oplinger was our mortgage representative and she was amazing!! She was extremely professional and polite. Ours was not the easiest mortgage to work with and she did an excellent job. Her communication and financial skills are exceptional. I will recommend Peoples Mortgage to anyone. If this is the caliber of people this company hires they will be in business for a very long time!!!!!!

The level of expertise, deep understanding of the loan types, attention to detail, very timely communication, and positive attitude of the People's Mortgage Team, especially Richard and Valerie, truly made our home-buying experience wonderful. We were led through the process clearly and honestly. We have worked with several mortgage companies throughout the Phoenix valley, and this experience was above and beyond any prior services. The level of excellence and pride Richard, Valerie, and team exude is measurable in the speed and accuracy of our more complicated VA loan. Thank you for everything! We are so grateful to you for making our home purchase a wonderful and painless experience.

From day one the service I received from Brandon, Andy, and the rest of the Peoples Mortgage team was second to none. They were available to me anytime I needed them including nights and weekends. They ensured that any questions I had, not matter how minor, were answered quickly and thoroughly. However, the best part is that they made me a commitment to close this deal on time and they blew me away when they had the loan ready to go a full two weeks before my 30-day closing date. You will not find a more genuine, customer focused team than at Peoples Mortgage and I highly recommend you give Brandon, Andy, and team a chance to win your business. You will not be disappointed.

Lured into this company after hearing about the Teachers Next Door program that is a home buying "program" for teachers and other government employees. The program by the way is a total sham. Peoples Mortgage will tote that they are giving you a massive "credit" towards buying a home that is exclusive to their lending company. In truth, it is actually your realtor who commits to contributing 20% in their commission to help in closing costs. All that People's covers is the home appraisal fee and guess what, turns out ANY lending company will do that for you if you ask.
I found my experience with Danny Thompson to be incredibly frustrating. He would call me endlessly while I was at work despite indicating to him from the start that I ONLY wanted to be contacted via email. I should have seen this as a warning sign early on. He clearly didn't want to commit anything into writing.. In any case, working with him felt like I was working with a used car salesman - slimy tactics and an unwillingness to disclose information. Upon informing him that I wanted to compare rates, costs, etc. between them and another lender he became brash and said "I thought we already established that we were better and saving you more money ...the benefit from us is that 20% contribution we convinced your realtor to contribute" (word for word here, texts to prove). We walked away from People's Mortgage and Danny..and guess what, our realtor STILL gave us 20% in commission, we got a much better rate (didn't have to buy points either) than they were offering and appraisal covered.
I was hesitant to write a review, but this has been my experience and I believe others have a right to know in order to make an educated choice in selecting a lender. Advice to fellow teachers out there, find another lender.

If you are a Realtor with a lender letter from this organization and you are looking into their reputation, they are horrible RUN... We find out the day before settlement they can't close the loan and of course no accountability.

After another three weeks of waiting for them to get the loan closed, we are still receiving very little communication as expected from your run of the mill internet lender. We are dealing with an "account rep" What even is that? A person without a clue who ignores calls, emails, and has no idea how loans work I suspect.

If you are going to respond with your typical "so sorry you had a bad experience" maybe instead, look up Maxine Way and have someone get a hold of me ASAP or better yet close the loan... It's All About The People?
