This is a hard post for me as I have had nothing but 5 star service from the moment I stepped into their office! In the beginning, I was terrified to do my taxes alone! My ex was continually claiming our children all while having no contact, and Promanance fought for me. I would tell friends and family how this women
run company, empowered me and gave me the confidence and financial advice to become the head of my household.
I recently tried to make an appointment only to learn that the prices have doubled. While they are worth every penny there is just no way a single mom of many can afford this price hike! Feeling deflated.

My husband Rafael and I met with Sugey in June and we let her know that I was leaving the teaching profession to join him full time in his small business. I was very nervous and anxious at the time, and she gave me great resources to read and assured us that she would be able to assist and guide us in this journey. I was so happy and hopeful to have found a business and a person who would really help us grow. My husband and I would have appreciated a pricing plan at that point so that we could have made a decision for our business' financial needs.

I met with her for a second consultation last week and I was ready for her to guide me even further with our tax preparation/ bookkeeping. I expressed how overwhelmed and lost I am in all of this; and she indeed gave me steps to move forward to prepare to file our taxes, but at no point in time did she offer any type of packages or pricing. She did not let me know about the additional deadlines and forms that I needed to fill out. Even when I called last week for guidance in obtaining the 1099's, I was not offered any type of service. I was only referred to Staples office store and a non-existent CD that did not come in the tax forms. When I called for assistance today, the receptionist informed me that Sugey would not be available because she would be out of town. (During tax season!?!?!) I asked for someone else to assist me, and was informed that only Sugey would be able to. After a call back, I was informed that Prominence office would be able to assist me for an additional $170.00 after the $350.00 that I had already paid last week, plus the $150 we had paid in June to have a conversation. When I inquired about becoming a customer, the receptionist informed me that it would NINE HUNDRED FORTY NINE DOLLARS $949 A MONTH to become an "Elite Customer" and there were no a la carte services being offered. We're a small business, barely completing our first year of operation.

I understand that the Prominence Wealth Management is a business, and need to charge for services, but I am also truly disheartened by all of this. This is not the partnership I would have hoped for in their business. Perhaps our business is not large enough for them to care about. I can only speculate at this point. Do yourself a favor and find a book keeping/accountant who truly cares about helping out small businesses because Sugey has grown too big to care about the little guy.

They made major mistakes with our returns. When we tried to ask questions, they refused to return our emails or calls. We had to pay thousands of dollars to fix their mistakes. They don’t know how to do taxes! Save your money and go elsewhere.

Couldn't be happier walking out the doors. Went in to get my taxes done. They had great customer service, and they answered all the questions I asked.They also helped me figure out my past student loan debts!!! Definitely recommend this place for anyone looking to get their taxes done with friendly professionals and at reasonable prices. GO PROMINENCE!
