Broke my lease 3 months before it was up. They took me to court. I paid everything they asked for. When I rated them 3 Stars the first time. They posted my private information trying to bash me. So other than being unprofessional. The property I rented was ok. It was way overpriced but that's what you get in northern Indiana.

Any body looking to rent here, PLEASE STEAR CLEAR! I am not even a resident here but just looked at a house today that is 'move in ready" The house smelled terrible from cats. I mean cat hair was in the stove, cupboards, bunches of cat hair downstairs. The walls were dirty, the cabinets were dirty. The dishwasher is disgusting. All of the bathrooms are gross and not cleaned. It's a shame because this house is beautiful on the outside. Don't let 534 fool you. When I confronted the office about this they didn't have any answers and just simply hung up. All signs points towards STAY AWAY. A complete waste of time.

Office personal are friendly and communication is excellent . Everything is user friendly on there website and tenant portals. There maintenance team are very knowledgeable and right there for any maintenance requests as soon as you put in . Definitely rate 5 star all the way and rent is in the area to meet a person's needs. They keep there management properties very well maintained. Will definitely renew lease with them or on other properties. Thanks

I have NEVER, I mean NEVER rented from a property Management company with so many rude staff. The homes are over priced and not worth the cost in the least. I hope they go under and soon! Robbing people of their hard earned money, they should be ashamed of themselves.

Why am I doing you're job for you? I have an full time job. It's your job to call everything listed on application. Took 50. I received an email acting like they had tried to get ahold of current landlord for almost 5yrs. Truth they expect me to contact him to call them. (Not my job)Wanted an rental reference from an company that's no longer exist. I gave them the company name and number of the company that went out of business and the company that brought them out all they had to do was call the number to verify the information too hard from them to do instead treated me like I was an liar.(I had lived there in 7yrs) Now I know why there area rentals are empty. And the person at the front desk is extremely rude.

I used 534 Rent to manage rental of a property I was unable to sell when I left the area in 2012. At the start there were a few issues with communication, but we always worked things out. A couple of years into using 534 Rent communication improved and I was a very satisfied owner/landlord until I was able to sell the property in 2022. Their rates for management were very reasonable for the work they did. They always were able to place new tenants quickly during vacancies. They made the process of owning a house and renting it out while out of state as painless as possible.

This company is not the least bit dignified or respectable, and like a bad relationship, made us uncomfortable from their volatile nature and constant threats. Every notice we got, and they were numerous (they constantly needed to change the filters in the furnace and other things), included a strongly-worded threat for if we didn't comply. Instead of thinking the best of us, they assumed the worst. They also threw in unexpected fees and charges whenever they felt inspired to do so; for example, an $18 charge was added to our bill one month for their labor to move in their washer and dryer into our apartment. I followed their instructions to a T and still never got any respect from them. To make matters worse, they had a twice-a-year "inspection" that included taking photos of every room! I've never had such an invasion of privacy from ANY landlord before. I tried to pass off their continuous disrespect, and gave them chance after chance to prove themselves, but the final blow came when we moved out. I had the apartment fully repaired and took precious time out of my schedule to clean our apartment; total time cleaning was 5 HOURS. For that I got no thanks; only a "cleaning fee", because apparently my own scrubbing, vacuuming and deep-cleaning wasn't good enough. I only received 20% of my deposit back, which for me was a shock as I've always received 100% of my funds back from 100% of the landlords I've ever had. I do not recommend this company. Everyone needs a place to live, but I recommend a company like GT Properties instead of this company.

The woman who helped me was very knowledgeable. The office conveniently has a list of rentals for the nearby areas. I had an issue when it came to the application fee. It didn't seem fair that I did not choose one of their rental properties and they took my money for what they could. From my understanding I was to contact them again and send formal documents before. I was needing a place to move with my five children as soon as possible and I thought they were helping me out. Instead I applied my money basically for nothing.
