Renee helped me and my husband get started with the home buying process. She walked us through everything we needed to prepare for and what we should expect as first time home buyers with zero experience. I am extremely thankful we went through Chase for our mortgage because they were extremely transparent with our closing costs and our monthly payments beyond just the housing payment itself. There can be a lot of hidden fees in this process (so I’ve heard) but the projected numbers we received from Renee were 99.9% accurate to our actual closing. She is also just a very kind person, easy to work with, and responsive. Overall, we had a really great experience working with her!

She left me speechless: sent me a note that she is going to charge my Chase account $500 at the end of the day. I have not given her the account number. I also did not authorize the transaction. Just beware that for pleasure of speaking with her, you will be threatened with $.5K charge. Do all lender advisors at Chase have access to our bank accounts and can use it "at will"? It raises a lot of questions. Here is what she wrote: "I wanted to let you know that we will process the $500 from your Chase Checking ending in * today". Again, I did not share with her the account number and I did not authorize the transaction.

To add to the story, I emailed Renee and called the complaint line trying to prevent the charge, and they forwarded me to their escalation department. My account was not charged, and I received a call from a manager which I returned. His overall feedback was that I was twisting words, so I would like to post the complete letter I received from Renee. I am an average person, and I guess there could have been another way to interpret this by a more sophisticated individual but here it is:
