My displeasure is with Sonya (broker owner)
We (buyer)opened escrow on purchase Aug 21
Sonya was listing agent. She and her office had COMPlETE control of transaction. Buyer/seller/escrow all under HER roof.
She has allowed her seller to refuse termite work ( he says he is selling house as is)
She allowed it even after the contract seller signed clearly states that along with listing his house comes any necessary termite repair.
We were supposed to close sept 21 then 25 now oct 2nd all due to her seller being allowed to run this transaction in his way from day one. He was told by my lender that septic needed to be certified on Aug 21. He completely refused the first 4 weeks of escrow, he said that he emptied it a year ago and wasn’t gonna spend the money.
3 days ago, he was FORCED to do it. Putting the escrow behind again.
Seller also never showed up to solar doc signing yesterday as he again said he would.
Again Sonya allowed her seller to drag his feet.
Now this sellers actions( Sonya allowed) has cost me 2 lock cap changes at $1600 a pop.
Sonya either knew and encouraged this behavior or she didn’t know it was going on at all..
either way she is unlike any Broker/owner of a real estate that I’ve ever met. Now my husband and I will be homeless in 2 weeks because our house is sold. She has absolutely NO concern for us. Hopefully I NEVER come across another broker such as her in my lifetime. This has been the most difficult, unconventional purchase that I’ve ever experienced and I’ve bought and sold at least 10 properties in my 58 years. Our loan has been done and ready to roll since Sept 15th. Just waiting on Sonya and her seller STILL.
If your goal is to climb on a real estate roller coaster like you’ve never been in before... then attach yourself in any way to a real estate deal that Sonya Feigen is attached to and hold on tight. It’s a bumpy bumpy ride.
