Southeast Mortgage of Georgia Incorporation is located in the city of Duluth in Gwinnett County off of PleasantHill Road. Aside from a mortgage company, this place of business has buildings for rent for your own business & other businesses. I always passed by here from my commute on foot. Such a gorgeous structure that sits atop of the highest elevation in PleasantHill where you can view the elevations of the road & traffic. I never really paid attention at how nice the view & clean Pleasant Hill is until I start commuting on foot.

My husband and I just closed on our first home. Although Mark Walling with Southeast Mortgage came highly recommended from a respected friend, we still shopped around. In the end, he won our business. We couldn't have made a better choice. Not only was Mark reponsive and extremely while patient educating us (we purchased without a realtor as first time home buyers, so we were fairly iliterate on the topics), but he and the entire team at Southeast Mortgage worked tirelessly to get us the best rate and find us the best loan, which wasn't easy. His teammate in the processing department, Courtney Perkins, was incredibly kind, gentle, yet thorough every time she had to request more documents and was happy to reassure us when we begged the question "is it normal to have to send in this information?"

Buying a house can be a daunting and overwhelming experience, but my work with the team made the entire process feel manageable and even enjoyable. I was faced with some unexpected challenges and changes throughout the process and Jerome was not only patient but also incredibly encouraging during those tough moments. The communication during underwriting was pristine. I'm super grateful to Paige and her team for all of their work and patience as well. As a first-time homebuyer, going through this on my own, I was nervous about all the complexities, but they were always there to guide me with patience, encouragement, and expertise. This is my first time purchasing a home for my family. The personal Bacarri Rambo, Terri Scordas, Carla Williams and team has been so helpful. They provided any important information I needed, was willing to help me with any questions or some details I needed at any given time. I had another Mortgage company I was first dealing with and they kept flipping their story's over and over. Also, losing the information I provided to them on several occasions and placing unnecessary charges so they could make more in the long run. Not a #1 Mortgage company like advertised. However, Southeast Mortgage has been completely different in this crazy experience. Which is a very important decision in someone's life to make at this current time in life. I can’t speak for Southeast Mortgage as a whole, but my experience working with Jordan Butts (Loan Officer) as a real estate agent was far from productive. He initially said all the right things to gain my clients’ trust and encourage them to apply with him. However, he failed to disclose critical information about the requirements of the loan program he was recommending, which caused unnecessary stress and wasted valuable time.

Jordan overpromised and severely underdelivered. While he was polite and professional at first, his demeanor changed when it came time to take accountability for the issues he created. At that point, he became dismissive and unprofessional.

As an agent, I feel misled and disappointed. It’s clear his primary goal was to serve his own interests rather than provide the transparency and support my clients deserved. I would caution others to do their due diligence before working with him.
