This is the worst management company I have ever encountered. To think of the sick sadistic behavior them and their staff exhibit is deplorable. Not only have there been no accountability they have taken every measure to block me on social media from being able to tell my story on how they used illegal measures based on the color of my skin to force me out of my apartment with my family. I mean even moving a white woman that illegally accessed the building and almost stabbed me and my 14 year old daughter next door to us. The 3rd month of us renting the white property manager refused to replace our AC unit when temperatures outside were soaring. Their own maintenance worker admitted to this. Their own previous property manager came to my home unnoticed to say all my allegations against this management company was true and he would even attest to this in court. He was subsequently fired. His name is Garret Webster. If not to make matters worse they are now withholding my money and trying to charge me bogus charges for allege damage, most of which I reported upon move in and they never addressed it. Trusting this company would be a grave mistake. You and your family could literally end up in a grave. Read every review and believe them. Their mission is profit only. Sterling Group this is Ashley Gardner and I will not rest until this company is fully investigated and shut down. I will file complaint after complaint until you’re no longer in business. Respectfully you should have done a better job.

Live at The Sterling down at Stop 11 and Madison in Southport. Just signed a new year lease and want out already. Have been here 3yrs. They are blaming my 82yr old mother and I for the roaches and are trying to charge us $400 for terminix to come in and bomb. How much will it take to break the lease?

Sterling Property Management took over Ridgewood Apartments a few months prior to Covid-19. I have never seen such incompetence from an office staff or maintenance staff. I put a hand full of work order in, and they were fixed promptly and to my satisfaction by a great maintenance man. I was thrilled with this new ownership and happy with the service. Soon after I was told that there was another change in staff, and with the new maintenance team, I have had 3 different guys knock on my door in less than a 2 months span to fix the same work order. And each time I have to tell them its already been fixed. This display shows the lack of communication and organization they have. I was billed for my September rent at a different price point than normal. I did however renew my lease FOR SEPTEMBER for a THIRD YEAR, so it was to be expected that there was some kind of change. I thought nothing more of it because I figured that a company who is making you shell out 1200 a month to live on their properties, would have been sure to bill their tenants the appropriate amount on time. I paid the bill and was informed 10 days after the 1st, that I owed more money. Money that wasn't billed to me in the first place due to their mistakes. No apology was given for yet another example of their lack of organization and incompetence. I was simply told it needed to be paid by the 15th via a letter on the door. I was informed a day after my renters insurance expired that they needed up to date proof of insurance. I feel personally that if you are hounding this point, you should maybe give a person a few days notice before the expiration so its easier to be renewed and taken care of. But they definitely ensured that I wouldn't forget with the 4 phone calls in 48 hours with voice-mails, all about the same thing. And also, about the work order that 3 different guys came to try to fix thrown in just for fun. I feel that one phone call and then an EMAIL may have sufficed, along with some heads up notice before hand. I am very unhappy with the new management staff in our complex. I would like to see some proper training and some reorganization happen in that office before I receive a phone call about absolutely anything from those people again. There have been snakes, stray cats, rodents, all roaming the grounds near the units. There has been no one out to spray for insects, or the clean the grounds. The last management team had people out there DAILY picking up small pieces of garbage and sweeping the entrances. I've stayed for 3 years for a reason. But renewing this year was a big mistake. I have read over the website for sterling group property management and their core values and positive performance reviews im sure are not all wrong. But my personal experience at this particular property is much less than satisfactory.

This is literally the worst property management company I've ever had to deal with. Running an apartment complex is not rocket science the fact that this company has ran Icon Avondale into the ground is sad. The leasing staff while very nice and well groomed the majority of them are incompetent which is weird because again how hard could it be to run a leasing office. Since the complex went from Novo to Icon its fallen to pieces. They don't know who has a rented washer or dryer or not. They raised rent $250 but did not add anything but lines in the parking lot. They enter your apartments without noticed and hide that they did so. I should of allowed my alarm company to call the police and press chargers . They never installed key assess on the front door leading into the apartments. They don't know how to take care of loyal tenants that have been there since the complex opened and paid rent on time even through the pandemic . When I requested to be connected to someone at the corporate office or at least the person ahead of the property manager , because lets be honest they are just faces they don't make real decisions or change I was never connected. I suggest this company gets some business training because if you think bad comments wont deter new tenants just wait. I will be leaving a long review after I move from Icon.

Breaches contracts, makes changes without notice, lies to get you to sign. This company will have a class action against it in no time. Exactly the type of trash that is ruining the housing market, exploiting people with special needs, very illegal. If you want to lose money, invest in this trash.

The fact that I was denied and not given a chance to get documents is not the worst. The took an administrative fee and when told I no longer live at that address I was ignored the mailed a check improperly packaged so it was delivered to my forwarded address in Georgia . Can’t get a return call or email so I guess im just out of 250$ a single homeless mother with 4 kids. Lacota Apartments in Norcross Georgia are the absolute worse and just want to app fee. Apply anywhere but here

I live in one of the apartments they manage and I have had a horrible experience. We have mold in the apartment and it has made me sick. We reported it months ago and the apartment manager has done nothing. We have mold in our wall and carpet where theet was a leak from the account trap. All they did was fix the leak and put drywall up over wet wood and pipes. The carpet was cleaned poorly. You can see the mold in one of the bathrooms. You can smell it as soon as you walk into the apartment. I have vertigo from the mold and it is not going to get better until it is taken care of. Lake Castleton Apartments suck. If something is not done soon I am calling the board of health and a lawyer.
