This place my dear grandmother and mother worked here when the barn was hot. The work is seasonal and temporary. It was an opportunity for my granny and mom to make some income to feed us 3 children while single and no kind of child support from dad. The place has maintenance mechanics who made sure everything was working properly. It was a fast paced production processed by mainly women. We never did get to try out the condiments produced. The pay wasn't much but it was provided. I never tried to work here when I grew up but did in other big plants. The memory of us kids having to wait in the car because my mother couldn't afford a babysitter. So during the heat of the day sweating our butts off. It was an experience to say the least. It still remains in service.

This is the most amazing pickled okra that I have found. I have been buying this for decades. Always crisp, consistent and flavorful. The only complaint that I have is I wish the hot version had more heat. Bring on a flaming hot version and I will be your biggest fan.

My favorite okra since early 90's. Once I open the jar, I would eat half of them, it's that good, hot or mild they're great. Just wish the jar was bigger, 32 or 64 fl Oz. Thanks for your delicious product. 😋

I have been buying these for a long time, love em, but this jar of mild crisp okra pickles I just bought 1 week ago is awful. They are not crisp, plain hard, cant take a bite. They need to cook just a little longer. Dissatisfied.

I've had occasion to contact Talk O' Texas home office a couple of times and have been amazed at how well they treat me as a customer. They are accommodating, polite, and patient, and don't seem in a rush. They use real people that seem to enjoy their job and the people they speak with. I am starting to buy directly from the business instead of through a retail outlet. Personally, I'm doing this because of their attitude to customers rather than anything else, but I think there is also a cost savings even with the freight. Great product, great people. We need to reward that.
