Obviously the location is the draw. You would never stay at this hotel otherwise. But, it was better than I expected. Front desk staff (Bright Angel? were helpful and welcoming, rooms are fairly spacious, bathroom is fine. No stairs to upper floors and no dedicated parking for hotel guests - you are fighting with day trippers. Expensive and there’s limited dining options but we chose the ‘hidden pub’ in Bright Angel, which was Ok and then had breakfast at El Tovar, which was very good.

Checkin was at Bright Angel Lodge. We had to wait quite a bit. We arrived around 5 pm and could not park yet directly at the lodge because the parking spaces are for day-visitors of the canyon too. However we found a parking space not too far away, so it was not a big problem. Our room was on the ground floor with canyon view. It was very big, clean and everything was in order. The reason why I only give 4 points is the price. It was really incredible expensive. Of course you pay for the view but it's still too much in my opinion. For dinner there are not too many options around, we choose Arizone Steakhouse which we liked. The room is awesome for walks at the canyon especially early in the morning or later at night. All in we enjoyed but I am not sure if I would choose again to stay directly in the Grand canyon village because it's very expensive.

Pretty much a 1970's level room at a modern premium price. Our room view did deliver a great view of the canyon, yes. But the room is way overpriced for what it offers. No microwave. The our drinks all froze in the mini frig. Parking is a complete disaster! Registered guests paying $400 per night should not have to park in some lot 2 buildings away.

Large rooms with comfortable beds and all you expect at a hotel - TV, small fridge, coffee maker, etc.
The one down side - parking. There are no assigned spaces, so someone visiting the park and riding the shuttle to get around could be in spaces just outside the Lodge all day.

The rooms were simple but comfortable and clean. The location is perfect, but parking is a challenge. My room had a "partial view" but was on the ground floor, so the view was mostly of people walking the rim trail with a little slice of the canyon above their heads!

Proximity to rim is only redeeming value. Otherwise its a Motel 6 at Hilton prices. AC barely worked - range limited to 75 degrees - which doesn't work when it's 104 outside and you feel like you are sitting in an Easy Bake Oven. Our bed sheet had a hole in it the size of a grapefruit but was still in use - how does that happen? Reserved a King room with a view - but went to check in and were told the room wouldn't be ready until 5 PM! That's nuts. That said, location is wonderful, but that's where the wonder ends.

Super clean, comfortable, and well-sized room next to Canyon de Chelly. Very nice front desk. Well-priced, too. We loved our stay here. ||||The restaurant is not up to the quality of the lodge, but there are several better options in Chinle, a 5-10 minute drive.

It was expensive for us but worth it. So amazing to see into the canyon from our room and to be able to step out any time and see the canyon at any hour. We really loved it.

The room was clean and comfortable.
