I’m genuinely confused by the ratings and comments about BURL and the UCLA Health Office. I’ve never experienced long wait times, and when there is a wait, they’ve always explained the reason. The doctors take their time with patients, and every doctor I’ve seen in this building has been thorough with an excellent bedside manner.

The lab staff is also efficient and consistently kind. I understand that people like to complain, but after being a patient here for three years, I can confidently say this place doesn’t deserve the negative reviews. The team works hard to provide quality care—of course, there may be occasional off days, but they have never dropped the ball. I typically receive my lab results the same day, and the longest I’ve waited was two days, which was expected since it was a Friday. Results were up by Monday.

Please take the time to research your actual doctors, not just the location where they work. And don’t buy into the negativity—the world has enough of it already!

It’s a dump. Something is always broken. It’s freezing all the time and no one onsite has access to the thermostat as they’re all under lock box. There aren’t enough doctors so your appointments take forever to get and once you have one they have less than 5 minutes, and anyone with a serious issue needs more time. If UCLA paid better I’m sure they could have more doctors. And the blood draw needs to be open same hours as the office.

Saw Diana Dermendjian, D.O. last week and she barely spent two minutes examining me and could not leave the room faster. Has not been helpful at all in her messages I ran out of medicine and she rather than help argued how long it should last. Would you not think she would be more caring and concerned about a new patient and reread their history of lung and bronchial issues? Still sick as I was last week with no thanks to her. Do not advise seeing her if you can help it. A doctor caring more about running a flu and covid test than examining the patient with a 104 fever. Please I took a covid test prior to my visit and still horribly sick and your rude messages where so unhelpful to a sick bedridden person. So unhelpful for someone called a doctor. No bedside manner's at all or care from this particular doctor.

UCLA is now a huge company that doesn’t care about you. They care about profit. Their priority is making the insurance company happy before making you happy. Wont try to hide it either. This one star is not put on a person individually but the entire UCLA group. Their a joke.
I don’t think it’s too much to ask to see a doctor who will 1)CARE about you and 2)LISTEN to what you’re there for.
EXTREMELY BUREAUCRATIC.
Expect to sit on a phone being tossed around (good luck if it gets anywhere)
Expect papers to get lost.
Expect being talked to like you’re stupid.
UCLA has got AL LOT of fixing to do!

Doctor was great! First floor reception staff were not good. Second floor admin staff were fine. Arrived for the first time. My doctor was not listed on the floor directory…so I went into the first floor to ask if my doctor was on that floor. The first floor staff cut me off before I could finish asking…instructing me to sign in. So I did. Then they asked who I was seeing, and then they said wrong floor. Lol. Went up to the second floor, and checked in. I did pre-check in, which helped me go in quickly, and on time. Doctor was great. Floors and rooms are a bit dated and neglected, but functional. There is complimentary parking under the building just west of the building. There is also street parking on riverside and other perpendicular side streets.

By far the dirtiest and most run down doctors office I have ever seen.

Both elevators look to have been out of service for a long time, leaving only stairs to exit the parking garage so just be aware if you have a disability or go here for related treatment.

The entire place was filthy. Do they even have a janitor team here? Hair and what looked like dried spit on the floor inside the doctors office, marked up walls, stained floors….its clear they don’t care. If they can’t even keep the public facing stuff clean, I can’t imagine what happens behind closed doors.

I rushed to come here to get checked because of eye pain. I got to this location right at 530PM, to which the urgent care advertised is the time they will accept last patient. But when i got there, the security guard and front desk turned me away. Mind you, i am pregnant and the stress and disappointment this caused me...

I am disappointed, no compassion at all.

Awful awful place. They cancelled on my twice for my physical. I went to the third appointment 12 mins late due to traffic and they sent me away. I had been fasting for 12 hours. Run from this place.
