My boyfriend has been a patient of dr. Routers since approximately 2018. I was great in the beginning, then he was put on the research medication study for 3 yrs, in wich he completed, or so we thought… he got a text message a couple days after he was discharged due to the study ending, that said that “we are sorry you left the study on your own” wich was not true, he was told the study was over, so he signed the papers. That was in octuober-November 2023. At that time he was told that he would get a call to schedule an appointment at Adventist health for continuing care. 3 months later, still no call. He went without his MS medication for 3 months, still with no communication or replies from messages I had left about this. Finally in December 2023, he gets a text message saying his appointment was scheduled on 12/23/23. The day before any upcoming appointments we usually get a text message to confirm it. Never got one, so I called back and got no answer. I then called Adventist health, and they informed me that his appointment is scheduled for 12/2024!!! That’s a whole year later without being on medication. We were told at the end of the study the medication would stay in his system for 3 months, however it did not. 1 month after this, he started having exacerbations, and a possible relapse. I called and called Adventist health but never got a call back. Finally I demanded to speak to office manager, then shortly after that I got a call from rouytersMA, and was told to take him to his primary care doctor, we did, but this doctor cannot treat Michael due to his MS., but did prescribe medication. Michael is still having bad exaberations and vision changes.
We do believe dr Royter is a good doctor, but his private office employees are the worst.
What really sucks, no other neurologist will see him due to his type of MS or his insurance.
As now he is considered a new patient for dr. Royter, and must wait a whole year to see him, even though he has treated him since 2018.
Looking for a new neurologist.

I’m not one to make reviews often but Dr Royter deserves a great review. He is so patient, kind and really listens to what is going on. I never feel like he’s in a rush to get to the next patient and comes up with solutions, medication, and other preventative ways to help with symptoms. I am very grateful to have him as my Neurologist.

This is my second time driving from Visalia for a scheduled appointment to arrive and find that their inadequate, ineffective, and unprofessional office staff has sent me a text message to tell me my appointment has been canceled or rescheduled. I have do not disturb on my devices so I don't talk when I'm driving I don't text when I'm driving. When I scheduled this appointment, this particular appointment, I told them it was an emergency. I told them my legs were caving, I told them that my bones were canceling out on me, in my knees and my ankles. This is so unprofessional. I have asked him repeatedly to please speak to me if you're going to cancel an appointment or reschedule, evidently they don't understand English too well. I'm very disappointed. This is my health that they're playing with, and I'm 71 years old. I don't have time for this nonchalant shenanigans. If you're looking for a neurologist I suggest you keep looking. Dr. Jones

Had an awful experience was set up to get an ncs and when I show up they wanted to charge me 600$ no one told me and I have private insurance but the office manager just wanted my money for the study without knowing what my insurance covered! She said I had two options one to pay in full or to cancel my appt! Time to find a new office!

To ur response it’s abt communication! Telling me before I take time off and actually calling my insurance and seeing how much they cover! You did not call my insurance to see you went off my deductible! The fact that it was actually 450 than 600 still doesn’t change the fact that u were unprofessional!!!!! But if you read all your ratings it’s proves all u (office manager) is caring abt is money!

I saw Janet Dove, NP today in this office for the first time and I could not be happier with the way I was treated. She is friendly, kind, very caring, and made me feel like taking care of me was important. I haven’t found a lot of that kind of treatment since I moved here to Hanford, so it was much appreciated. I came to the office for dementia testing which is frightening, but I feel very safe in her hands that she will be providing me with the best of care. I highly recommend Jan in this office.

I have been a patient of Dr Royter since 2016 for treatment of severe migraines. He has been extremely compassionate and attentive to my condition. His treatment plan has significantly reduced the frequency and severity of them and he helped me identify my triggers. Highly recommend him.

My first visit was good it wasn’t like amazing but good. the staff was nice to me and i was seen fast. Dr Royter was very nice and good bedside manners. He listen to what i had to say. The only thing that did bother me was that he referred me to physical therapy for my verdigo, which is horrible to go through. so i waited all week to see if someone would call me to schedule an appointment for therapy, but no call . so i called the Dr office and she told me in a very rude way that she hadn’t gotten to it yet and she might be doing it today. I’m not a person to complain, i know everyone is busy, but verdigo is horrible and i have to work with and i’ve been like this for a month. no one has done anything to help. But i have to say that Dr Royter was the first one to offer any help. thank you Dr. now just waiting on the referral.
