My daughter had just graduated from Grad school and was ready to settle down and buy her first home. The year was 2020 and I was unable to help, but Jan and Katie became big part of our lives and helped her and her fiance find the perfect starter home in Altadena. In 2023 I was beginning to truly understand the aging process and thought it might be better for me if I lived closer to family, and good medical care. Luckily we found a vacant lot just around the corner! We were so excited and called Jan to help us with the purchase. We were ready to build our 2-Gen house. Unfortunately, the purchase of the lot came with the 1958 house next door. Jan handled all of the ups and down like a pro and went above and beyond to by managing the remodel of the old house for me, since I live out of town. I don't know what I would have done without her!! Ultimately, she sold that house and now we are planning to build a house and ADU on the lot next door, which was always our ultimate goal.
