Ever since I started coming here it’s what I most look forward to during the week. Since I first started coming here I feel a sense of community and I always feel welcomed! My I’m a college student who suffered with a lot of back pain keeping me from being able to properly sit and study bc of the pain. I’ve only come a few times but I already feel so much better!

When I started was unable to stand or sit for longer than 15 minutes. I was unable to play with my grandchildren. It was painful to even get a hug from them. Now I can keep up with my grandchildren. Best of all they are able to sit in my lap and give me a great big hug.

EDIT: they delete reviews so I thought I would share again. Noticed a large portion of their clients are elderly the 2 days I was there and I am a firm believer in not taking advantage of people.

I found this provider through my Anthem insurance portal as an in-network provider. I met with Dr. Wellman for an initial exam and then was told to come in the next day to analyze the results with her brother, Dr. Jason Wellman. I get there the next day and was told to watch a 15 minute clip about how the pharmaceutical and insurance companies are just trying to profit off of the sick. Then Dr. Wellman comes in, and after some greetings and going over my X-rays procedes to tell me that I need to pay 2k out of pocket for my treatments. I was shocked since I have great insurance coverage so I asked if this was covered by insurance. He told me it wasn’t his job to run insurance, even though the other Dr. Wellman said they would have insurance coverage applied when going over my go-forward plan. I got a little sad at this because I thought this was going to be handled before I came in, and told him that I wouldn’t be able to pay 2k out of pocket. He folds up my paper and says verbatim “well good luck”. Then told me I could leave.

I was so shocked I held back tears. I asked him if he was refusing to see me and he said no he just doesn’t handle insurance then left the room and shut the door. I thought he was going to grab someone so i stayed awkwardly for around 10 minutes in the room. Finally, a nice lady from the front desk comes in and tells me that my coverage is through a 3rd party insurance company in the state of Georgia and my insurance EOB is not correct. After several back and forth phone calls with Anthem, the doctors office, and the 3rd party insurance- my insurance company told me that my coverage was correct and the services they prescribed were all covered.

I was excited to hear I could finally start healing, but when I called the office to convey the news they told me that my insurance company doesn’t know anything about how they bill and they recommend I go to another provider. I assume they were tired of dealing with me trying to figure out my coverage.

I apologize for the inconvenience of the phone calls with my insurance company, but getting rude to a girl that cannot afford 2k of chiropractic care over only 2 months is so unprofessional. I do not recommend Dr. Jason Wellman. I also recommend getting a clear understanding of your benefits and how they bill at this provider before spending money here.
