We stayed at the hotel for the first time in June 2024. I had heard it was a gorgeous hotel but did not expect to absolutely fall in love with the old world charm and serenity of this hotel. During our stay they were finishing up the restoration from the tornado that damaged the hotel the year before. However, while in the hotel we could not hear any noise from the construction and the hotels website did a great job of giving you a heads up prior to booking so you could decide for yourself to stay or not during the construction. We stayed in a room on the opposite side of the atrium. It was absolutely gorgeous and very quiet. We spent some time at the outdoor pool just relaxing and were able to order food and drinks poolside which was a huge convenience. We spent just one evening at the French Lick Hotel to eat and gamble, but I much rather prefer the slow pace of West Baden. It was easy to get back and forth between the hotels with shuttles running often, but we choose to walk the paved pathway between hotels where we were able to smell fragrant trees and see deer in the pasture. We also enjoyed walking around the hotel as there is plenty of history. The atrium is a relaxing place to sit and have a coffee or cocktail and take in the beauty of it. Each morning we grabbed our breakfast from the Xanadu Coffee and Creamery and sat out on the porch in their rocking chairs and enjoyed looking at the grounds. This was such a relaxing stay, we cannot wait to come back!

My husband and I enjoyed my Valentine birthday with an overnight stay here. |Dinner in the dining room was lovely. Relaxing in the atrium after dinner with a drink was nice. Strolling around the hotel looking at the pictures on the walls and reading about the history of the hotel and town was very interesting. There was a jazz band in the library which was a special way to enjoy the rest of the evening. The ambience is relaxing, we definately recommend you venture here.

This place is one of the best kept secrets in all of the Midwest. Stunning architecture, great food and service. How they keep this gigantic resort in such great shape is really a testament to the staff. Fun little town of French Lick has some nice shops and stuff. We go twice a year and never had a bad experience. Go there! You won’t regret it.

Omg this place is stunning, classy, elegant. We got a suite for our stay and it is amazing. So clean and the room just blew our minds how beautiful it is. The whole hotel is absolutely stunning. If you want to feel like luxury then stay here and get a suite. I give this hotel a 5 star review from start to finish an absolute delight.

Our girl's trip to West Baden was magical. The atmosphere was beautiful and relaxing. We enjoyed sitting in the atrium with a nice bottle of wine to catch up. The rooms were extremely comfortable and the entire hotel was exceptionally clean with attention paid to every detail. We are planning our return to see more of the area and enjoy the spa at West Baden.

Absolutely gorgeous. We went for a day trip and rode horses at the stables. When they asked, "where are you from?" I answered, "Indiana." For a second, I completely forgot we were still in Indiana. It felt like we were on a vacation in Europe. The landscaping is gorgeous too.

My wife and I have been to West Baden many times in the past years and always have enjoyed the stay. Whether sitting on the porch or setting at Ballards enjoying a meal or a cocktail it always pleasant. The grounds and shuttles can take you anywhere you want to roam. Had a great stay all employees that I interacted with seemed like they enjoyed their employment. Rooms were a classic style and beds were extremely comfortable. The interior dome was the main draw it has a lot of very comfortable seating to enjoy the ambiance.
